5 IMPORTANT REGISTRATION INFORMATION NON-MEMBER Non-Members must select a non-member registration option. SPOUSE An additional fee may be required for a spouse registration. Spouse registrants will be afforded the same IBS registration access that the primary registrant purchases (i.e. Expo Pass, Full Registration, etc). The spouse badge will automatically include the primary registrant s company name on the badge. If your spouse wants his/her own company name or no company name on the badge, he/she must register with a separate registration form and pay the applicable registration fee. If the primary registrant cancels, the spouse s registration will be cancelled automatically. Spouse registrants are not eligible for the complimentary subscription to IBS Education on Demand. If the primary registrant purchases a bundled package [including an IBS registration and event ticket(s)] the spouse s registration will not include event tickets included in the primary registrant s bundle. The spouse must purchase event tickets separately. REGISTRATION PAYMENT Forms not accompanied by full payment will not be processed. -DAY EDUCATION WITH EXPO PASS The attendee s badge will indicate which day s education sessions he/she purchased and must be displayed at all times to access the education sessions that day. Seating is limited. Admittance to education sessions will be on a first come, first served basis. Package purchase does not guarantee access to a particular session. Pre-show education courses are excluded and require an additional registration fee. STATE & LOCAL ASSOCIATION STAFF State and local association staff are eligible for complimentary full registration and must register online at BuildersShow.com/EO. By providing your address to NAHB for IBS registration, you expressly grant your consent and authorization for NAHB, its exhibitors, sponsors and instructors to send you s regarding the Show, as well as other services and products. If you do not want exhibitors and sponsors to obtain your address please check the box that is provided. If you do not check the opt out box your address will also be encoded in the QR on your badge. The QR is, in effect, an electronic business card that give exhibitors access to the contact information you provide. The QR on your badge allows you to quickly and easily request information from exhibitors while on the and connect with sponsors of IBS education sessions and networking centrals. When your QR is scanned by one of the lead retrieval devices in an exhibitor s booth, at the entrance to a networking central or at the entrance to an education session your contact information is captured so that NAHB and its exhibitors, sponsors and/or instructors can follow up with you after the Show. If, at any time, you decide that you would prefer to stop receiving communications from NAHB, you may unsubscribe using the Unsubscribe link that is at the bottom of each . SHOW CREDENTIALS If you register on or before December, 207, your badge will be mailed to you (US and Canada only). Please note that if you lose your badge prior to or during the 208 IBS, you will be charged a replacement fee. You will also need to present a valid photo ID in order to receive a new badge. REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS The International Builders Show (the Event ) is a professional trade Convention-Exposition. In 208, the Event will be co-located in Orlando, Florida, with the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show ( KBIS or the Other Show ), and the Event and the Other Show will have specific reciprocal entrance arrangements. The Event is not open to the general public. Only individuals involved in a professional capacity in the residential and light commercial construction industries and registrants of the Other Show (pursuant to the specific reciprocal entrance arrangements between the Event and the Other Show and holding required identifying credentials) are eligible to attend the Event. The Event s owner, the National Association of Home Builders of the United States ( NAHB ), reserves the right to refuse admission to any person who fails to comply with all of these registration terms and conditions, or to any person registered through the Other Show who has failed to comply with all of the registration terms and conditions of such Other Show. Product or service displays or demonstrations or solicitation of business, including but not limited to the distribution of literature, by non-exhibiting entities on the Orange County Convention Center ( OCCC ) property or at any of the official hotels of the Event or of the Other Show (sometimes referred to as suitcasing ) are strictly prohibited. NAHB reserves the absolute right in its sole discretion to immediately remove violators of these terms and conditions, or of the rules, regulations or policies of the OCCC, from the OCCC property and revoke Event credentials without prior notice or hearing and without refund of any portion of the registration fee. NAHB may also, at its discretion, bar any violator from future Events, as well as from any other exposition, conference, symposium, or the like owned or operated by NAHB. By registering to attend the Event, the registrant acknowledges and agrees that: (a) NAHB is the exclusive owner of all trademarks, copyrights and other proprietary rights related to the Event and Event-related activities; (b) NAHB and its agents shall have permission to use the registrant s image, likeness and/or voice in any broadcast, telecast, photograph, video and/or sound recording taken in connection with the Event or Event-related activities for promotional and/or archival purposes; (c) the owner of the Other Show is the exclusive owner of all of its respective trademarks, copyrights and other proprietary rights related to such Other Show and Other Show-related activities; (d) the owner of the Other Show and its agents shall have permission to use the registrant s image, likeness and/or voice in any broadcast, telecast, photograph, video and/or sound recording taken in connection with such Other Show for promotional and/or archival purposes; (e) NAHB does not review, approve, or endorse the materials of any education session presented in connection with the Event; the topics discussed and materials provided in any such education session are for informational purposes only and are not intended to be an exhaustive presentation of information on the subject matter of such education session; and the registrant will not treat as such, or rely upon for other purposes, any statements made or opinions expressed, or materials provided, in any such education session. The registrant also agrees that by providing his/her mailing address, address, telephone number and/or fax number (collectively, the Contact Information ) or any combination thereof, the registrant consents to receive communications, via regular mail, , telephone and/or fax, from NAHB, its exhibitors and sponsors regarding the Event and Event-related activities, and from any exhibitor of the Other Show which the registrant may attend using his/her Event credentials, regarding such Other Show and Other Show-related activities. The registrant assumes all risks associated with, resulting from, or arising in connection with, attendance at the Event and/or participation in Event-related activities or attendance at the Other Show and/or participation in Other Show-related activities, including, without limitation, all risks of theft, loss, harm, damage, or injury to the person (including death) or property, whether caused by negligence, intentional act, accident, act of God, or otherwise, and whether occurring before, during or after the Event or Other Show, as the case may be. The registrant also agrees that neither NAHB nor its agents, officers, directors, members, contractors or employees shall be liable for injuries to the person (including death) or loss or damage to property resulting from, occurring at or arising out of the Event or any Event-related activities, including but not limited to any education sessions presented in connection with the Event, or for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary damages; and agrees that neither the owner of the Other Show nor its agents, officers, directors, members, contractors or employees shall be liable for injuries to the person (including death) or loss or damage to property resulting from, occurring at or arising out of such Other Show or Other Showrelated activities, including but not limited to any education sessions presented in connection with the Other Show, or for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary damages; and releases and discharges such persons and entities from, and covenants not to sue such persons and entities with respect to, any and all risks, injuries, losses, damages and liabilities described herein. CANCELLATION POLICIES Expo Pass Registration (including spouses): Fees are non-refundable. All sales are final. Full Registration, First Time Attendee, -Day Education with Expo Pass Registration (including spouses): Once a registration has been processed a $35 fee will be charged per cancellation. If a registration and special event ticket bundle is purchased, only the registration fee portion of the bundle is refundable. The special event ticket portion of the bundle is non-refundable. Requests for refunds must be received by December, 207, via at NAHB@experient-inc. com, by fax at or by mail to: NAHB International Builders Show, Registration and Housing Office, c/o Experient, 5202 President s Court, Ste. G00, Frederick, MD Special Events: Tickets to special events including those purchased in bundled registration packages are non-refundable. All sales are final. Weather: A request for a weather-related refund of registration fees will be considered by NAHB in its sole discretion, on a case-by-case basis, provided the request is received by NAHB within five (5) business days after the close of the Event. If approved, in lieu of a refund of the amount of the registration fee, NAHB will register the individual for the next Event at no charge and will provide the identical registration type that was originally purchased. PROVISION OF REGISTRANT INFORMATION By registering for the Event, the registrant consents to NAHB s provision of the registration data supplied (name, company and address) to the Official Event hotels for purposes of calculating the number of Event attendees utilizing the Official Hotels for such related purposes including but not limited to the calculation of shuttle bus needs. IMPORTANT HOTEL ACCOMODATION INFORMATION ATTENDEES All hotel accommodation requests must be made through the NAHB International Builders Show Registration and Housing Office or online at BuildersShow.com. Show hotels will not accept individual or direct requests for rooms. NAHB Member Hotel Rooms have been assigned to state/local associations by the NAHB Convention & Meetings Committee. In order to be placed in your state/local association block, you must request hotel accommodations in your assigned property on or before Monday, October 30, 207. Assignment in state/local HBA hotels is not guaranteed due to the limited availability in each property. Any questions regarding your association s particular hotel assignment should be directed to the Executive Officer in your area. Hotel accommodations will be based upon availability. Non-Member Hotel Rooms will be assigned on a first come, first served basis, based on the hotel preferences you have selected. NOTE: Online registration at BuildersShow.com allows for immediate hotel room confirmation. HOTEL DEPOSIT* A credit card (valid through January 208) is required in order to secure the reservation. Failure to check in on your scheduled arrival day or cancel your hotel reservation could result in a first night s room and tax penalty. Please refer to your hotel confirmation for the specific cancellation policy at your hotel. SATURDAY DECEMBER 9 THURSDAY, DECEMBER, 207 Any reservation changes, cancellations or requests for new reservations must be ed to NAHB@experient-inc.com for approval and availability. All reservations will be sent to the hotels on Friday, December 5, 207. MONDAY, DECEMBER 8, 207 You must contact the hotel directly to cancel or modify room reservations. Failure to cancel in accordance with the cancellation policy printed on your confirmation could result in a charge of one night s room and tax on the credit card used to guarantee the reservation. Under no circumstances will NAHB be responsible for refunding or returning a processing fee or room deposit for a canceled room reservation nor will NAHB be responsible for any damages from a failure to cancel a reservation.
