1 Viborg, Denmark 2019 Bulletin #2 DANISH MTBO CAMP 1. Welcome The MTBO-camp organizing team warmly welcomes you to 2019 edition of Danish MTBO camp. It has become a tradition with a season-opening training camp in Denmark offering mapping and course-setting of the highest standard. The event will not let you down! Mapmaking and coursesetting is done by experienced people also involved in the upcoming World Championship in Viborg. This gives the athletes the opportunity to nearly see, taste and experience some of the expected challenges, waiting just 3 month later at the startline for the World Championship. 3 3. Venue Event center The event center is situated at ASMILDKLOSTER AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL, with top facilities. Adress: Asmildkloster Landbrugsskole, Asmildklostervej 1, 8800 Viborg Easily accessible by car and public transport. Within 1 km you will find supermarkets, several restaurants and shops. In the event center you will find free wi-fi, bike wash, bike storage, etc. 4. Rules I Doping I Insurance Riding off track Riding off the tracks is strictly forbidden. It is also forbidden to run, carry, tow etc. a bike off the tracks and into the terrain. Violation of this rule may, if done deliberately, result in exclusion from the camp without compensation. Doping is strictly prohibited. The organizers will not be liable for any health insurance for participants. It is recommended that all participants arrange their own personal health insurance. However 2 events in the Young Guns Series will be arranged: Middle distance: Haunstrup 18 th and shorted Long: Ålum 19 th. Master series will unfortunately not be offered (applied for but not granted) Course 1-3: Longer courses. Hard and difficult riding must be expected. Course 4-5: Medium courses. Less physically than course 1-3, but riding on difficult track may occur. Course 6-7: No riding on the most difficult and challenging tracks. Easy orienteering on course 7. page 4

5 7. Competition information TBN 8. Maps The maps are produced in accordance with the ISMTBOM 2010 and later amendments. Mapping and course-setting mainly by WMTBOC organizing-team. 9. Time keeping system SPORTident Air+ will be used in all competitions. Short Range only. All competitors will have to use an ActiveCard (SIAC) to take advantage of touchfree. Rental will be possible. 10. Embargoed areas The WMTBOC-embargo is in place until after the WMTBOC 2019 in July/August. The areas (see WMTBOC-homepage: are embargoed for all orienteering activities, unless specifically permitted by the organizers. The embargoed areas are out of bounds for all potential participants and team members, including competitors, team coaches, manager or anyone associated the team/individual. Viborg City Center is totally embargoed! Any permission for access into embargoed areas must be requested from the organizers, if needed and before access. This includes also if there are any MTB events taking place in the embargoed areas and potential competitors wish to participate. The embargo includes the use of drones in or about the terrain. 11. Entries All entries via: Entries will open January 2 nd Number of participants is limited to day entries will not be offered to the camp. Young Guns series: 1 day entries to YGS will be available. Fee: 20 EUR per race. Note: Camp fee includes YGS. Event Center Accommodation with half board Booking will open from January 2 nd Max. capacity: 200 Accommodation at the Event Center (EC). 2 types of accommodation are offered: Private room(study apartment) for 2 persons, with single beds. Private bathroom, shared with one other room. Perfect for a family, 2 couples, teamleaders etc. Duvet, pillow and bedlinen IS NOT INCLUDED and can t be rented Classroom, suitable for persons, hard floor. Bring your own mattress, and duvet, pillow, bedlinen or sleeping bag. Prices are for 5 days, including daily half board (breakfast and dinner) for 1-person. Beginning with dinner April 17 th. Ending with breakfast April 22 nd. Banquet included (not beverages). Reduction to only B&B is not possible. Lunch packages are not offered. Prices are kept as low as possible, no surplus charge. You are not allowed to make lunch boxes at breakfast. Please respect that. Kiosk will be available at Competition Center. 10 16. Entry permits (Visas) Denmark is a full Schengen member state. For residence outside Schengen you will have to apply for a short stay visa. Read more here: page 10

Extra Training opportunities ONLY for Elite, Junior and Youth Official WMTBOC/JWMTBOC training camp (elite & Junior/Youth only) 13 th -16 th April Event center: ASMILDKLOSTER AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL, same as the World Championships.
