4 CREATIVE EUROPE MEDIA Short Stories, Great Ideas, the intensive training program organized by Creative Europe Media Desk Greece and Greek Film Centre in 2016 had a great success and confirmed the potential as well as the vibrant and dynamic presence of the Greek young directors and scriptwriters. It was in accordance with Creative Europe Media policy to more effectively help emerging talent. Currently the criteria of the scheme Slate Funding allow for the addition of a short film. Dialogue with stakeholders has indicated that these low budget formats would provide opportunities for new professionals to advance. Additionally, in order to encourage the access of new talents to the scheme Single Development, a further element potential for further talent escalation has been added to the award criterion Distribution of the roles and responsibilities of the creative team vis-à-vis the specific objectives of the proposed action. Greek professionals and companies are eligible for financing and encouraged to participate to the different funding schemes to the greatest possible degree.
