Athens- born, world- traveled and universe- inspired, Amalia Sotiropoulou began capturing special imagery, unique scapes and candid subjects more than two decades ago.

Her decision to print these images on unique surfaces such as lucite, steel and illuminated boxes further enhances the experience of Amalia s photographs.

When she is shooting, her sophisticated sense of style is checked at the door, as she oft- times ventures off the beaten path to seek a moment of, and the meaning of true beauty.

1 Athens- born, world- traveled and universe- inspired, Amalia Sotiropoulou began capturing special imagery, unique scapes and candid subjects more than two decades ago. It s been said her work gives the viewer a sense of whimsy and escape. Her decision to print these images on unique surfaces such as lucite, steel and illuminated boxes further enhances the experience of Amalia s photographs. Aside from her subjects, Amalia s greatest inspiration is drawn from somebody else s participation in her photographic experiences which gives her a richer appreciation for her initial impression. When she is shooting, her sophisticated sense of style is checked at the door, as she oft- times ventures off the beaten path to seek a moment of, and the meaning of true beauty. Amalia s work has been exhibited extensively throughout Greece in renowned museums and galleries including Benaki Museum and Historical Archive Museum. One of her earlier photographic series documented a day in the life of fictional lovebirds Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse: The Perfect Couple, which also featured animation She continues to photograph throughout Europe and is expanding her scope to major cities in the United States. Her recent NEW YORK NEW YORK exhibit won accolades for its boldness and beauty. In addition to her fine art photography, Amalia has worked on assignments and commissions for clients in entertainment, real estate and property development, interior design and corporate art. Her photography is featured in commercial settings ranging from a lightbox in a famous Athens nightclubs to wall mural in private residences in a tony London neighborhood to a permanent lobby installation at Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center. Amalia welcomes inquiries regarding commissions, image licensing, exhibitions, and fine art print sales.
