1 1. Food Practical Information From Monday to Friday for both weeks, except last Friday dinner, lunch and dinner will be provided. Lunch will be at or Dinner will be at most days, except for Thursday 20 June when it will be at For full details of lunch and dinner times, please refer to your Programmes. In general, lunch will be served in the cafeteria of the Engineering School (EPSEVG). Dinner will mostly be served in Molí del Mar, the accommodation for most of the students. 2. 2 3. Transport To and from Barcelona (approx. 45 minutes) There are regular trains between Vilanova station and Barcelona Sants, Barcelona Passeig de Gracia and Barcelona Estació de Franca. A single journey costs 3.80 EUR. To get to Barcelona, you will need to catch a train with destination Barcelona Estació de Franca. Coming home, catch a train with destination Vilanova i la Geltrú or St Vicenç de Calders. There is a train approximately every 20 minutes, and at night every 30 minutes until The first train from Vilanova to Barcelona is at The last one is at The first train from Barcelona Estació de Franca to Vilanova is at The last one is at If you want to travel home from Barcelona during the night, there is a night bus service. Follow this link for timetables: To and from the airport (approx. 1 hour) From the airport: By train (3.80 EUR) (I recommend the train because it is cheaper and faster! Even for those of you that are arriving late, there will be a train to catch, as the last one is not until about midnight) There are regular trains between the airport and Vilanova. 1. As you come out of the Arrivals area in the airport, turn left and follow the signs to Renfe (the main rail operator in Spain). 2. When you reach the train platform, catch the train from there to El Prat de Llobregat. 3. When you reach El Prat de Llobregat, get off the train in order to change lines. In El Prat de Llobregat station, you will need to change platforms by going up the stairs and coming down on the other side. 4. Catch a train with destination Vilanova i la Geltrú or with destination St Vicenç de Calders. 5. Get off at Vilanova i la Geltrú. By bus (6.75 EUR) Please check the Schedule here: To the airport: By train: Catch the Barcelona train that leaves Vilanova at.08 and.38 minutes past the hour and get off at El Prat de Llobregat. In this station, change trains to one with destination, Aeroport. By bus: Check the schedule at the above link. Within Vilanova Vilanova is a small town. Most things are within easy walking distance of each other. However, if you want local bus timetables, request these from the Town Hall or the Tourist Information Centre (see below). 2

Internet Access There is WIFI in Atenea Park, please ask in the Reception of Atenea Park. For Molí del Mar, unfortunately it is not certain to have WIFI. We ll inform you during the seminar. Otherwise WIFI is available at EPSEVG Library (open till 21h) and at EPSEVG at the Hall and Sala d Estudis (first floor, room VG3-S103). EPSEVG is open to go into till 21h and later to go out. You can also use the Engineering School computer rooms (ask at Reception). 6.
