2 Marking / GPS / Tracks 1. The route of the race must be followed with a GPS device that will be mandatory for at least one of the team members. The route of the PSR 2016 will mainly follow the GR11 which is marked with the classical red and white paints of long-distance footpaths. Additional marking of the route will be made with ribbons, and more frequently in areas where the marks are difficult to follow or where the race route deviates from the GR The organization will provide participants with the track of each stage by mail. 3. Participants are responsible for downloading the track, load it to the GPS device and check its proper functioning. Participants are also responsible for maintenance and battery charge of the GPS before each stage of the PSR It will be mandatory for each team to carry the roadmap for each stage (provided by the organization) and a compass to orientate and understand the map. 5. Each day the organization will notify during the briefing the sections where the race route deviates from the GR11, in order to pay greater attention in these sections. MANDATORY AND RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT Everyday before the start we will check the following mandatory items: 1. Each runner must carry: Trail running shoes with a tread that is suitable for running in alpine terrain. Cup to get drinks at food-stations (due to eco-responsibility no cups will be provided at foodstations for liquids). Rescue blanket.
