9 ACCOMODATION INFORMATION Please note: Accomodations can be booked only through the organising comittee. All accomodations are on regular season price level. All the participants that will book by themselves have to apply surcharge on participation fee of 30%. All athlets on European championship and their staff will be excused of paying the turist tax. 10 ACCOMODATION INFORMATION HOTEL **** is the pearl of Bohinj. It is one of the picturesque scenes that blends with the ascinating exoticism of nature in this part of Bohinj. Completely renovated, it shines in all its beauty and soft luxury. In summer and winter it sparkles in the dusk like the backs of lively trout in the Bohinj lake. In addition to comfort, it offers a home atmosphere. The lake and mountain paths are just a stone's throw away. Sometimes, in the mornings, a mountain rabbit darts from the nearby bushes as if wanting to say come'n join us in the fresh air, among the flowers, along the waterbank. PRIVATE ACCOMODATIONS Tourist office Bohnj offers a large variety of private accomodations, which are mostly on appartment basis, some are being offered as Bed&Breakfast, but we can arrange also boarding on half-board basis, depending on our guest wishes. We would offer only appartments and rooms that are maximum 15 minutes away from the World Cup venue, in walking distance. Some of the private accomodations could be a nice option for teams to rent out the house for example for 4 12 persons that would like to be self-catered. Some of the capacities offer HB too. Private accomodations can be a very cozy experience. The location of the campground is idyllic, because it is remote from the touristic crowd, but still close to everything. Campsite combines the experience of nature and the convenience of vicinity of shops, bars, restaurants, health clinic, aquapark, info point, The location enables you comfort on all levels. It starts with the convenient selection of beautiful spots to camp. All terrain is levelled and grassy and with easy access. There are many options of sites; the shadows of the trees or sunny areas, along the murmuring Sava Bohinjka river. Or maybe close to the playground. We dispose with 5 ha of surface, can accomodate up to 1000 guests and are open all year round. 16 IMPORTANT INFORMATION VIGNETTES/TOLL STICKERS Cars and vans with a maximum permitted laden weight not exceeding 3.5 tonnes are required to display a vignette/toll sticker) in order to use motorways and express roads in the Republic of Slovenia and the Ljubljana bypass. Road Karavanke Tunnel Bled is a toll road! Annual vignette for motor vehicles up to a maximum permitted weight of 3,500 kg is or EUR. Using a toll road without a valid vignette (i.e. without paying the toll) is punishable by a fine of between 300 and 800 EUR. VISA INFORMATION Participants from those countries where a Visa is required will receive upon request a letter from the Organising comitee once their participation is confirmed. All participants from non Schengen Treaty State Members are kindly requested to contact their local Slovene Embassy for assistance. The O.C. can provide full assistance if contacted in due time. INSURANCE All participants are strongly advised to have an appropriate medical insurance from their respective countries.

17 IMPORTANT INFORMATION MEDICAL SERVICES A First Aid and Emergency Medical Service will be available at European Marathon Championship Course from 1st to 5th of July Health care centre in Bohinjska Bistrica (10 minutes by car from the course) will be on stand during the competition in order to cover any specific needs. BOAT RENTALS For national Federations requesting boats for rent we offer: (price for boat per day) K1, C1 50 EUR K2, C2 65 EUR A limited number of boats can be rented, so book your boats soon. RULES All the rules are applied from ICF rules for marathon. PARKING PLACES We will prepare special parking system for the EURO2015. For participants there will be enough free parking spaces at the venue. For visitors Labora parking area will be open. We will also organise free parking area in Ribčev laz, on a side of Hotel Kristal, which is approx. 1.4km from the competition course. PRESS ACCREDITATION Please send us your accreditation and accomodation requests. Prices of accomodations are the same as for competitors. There will be press area at the venue, where we will offer refreshments throught the event.

19 SLOVENIA Slovenia lies in the heart of Europe, where the Alps meet the Mediterranean and the Pannonian Plain meets the Karst. This small green country measures 20,273 km 2 in area. Občina Bohinj je ena od občin v Republiki Sloveniji. The collision of four major European geographical units has created a very invigorating landscape, much of it thickly forested. More than a third of the country s area is protected. Občini pripada razsežno ozemlje v dolini Save Bohinjke s tesno Sotesko, Nomenjskim kotličem, Spodnjo Bohinjsko dolino, južnim pobrežjem Bohinjskega jezera, Zgornjo Bohinjsko dolino in območja na planotah Pokljuka in Jelovica. Na severu se meja drži skalnih sten in vrhov nad prepadnim levim bregom Save Bohinjke, na jugu poteka preko gorskih planot in vrhov bohinjskega grebena ob nekdanji državni meji; od Vogla (1923 mnm) čez Črno prst (1844 m) do Možica (1602 m), odtod dalje pa po robu Ratitovčeve planjave (Črni vrh 1487 m, Gladki vrh 1672 m in 1666 m). Zahodna meja gre po slemenih jugozahodno od jezera (Konjski vrh, 1527 m; Mala Škrbina, 1996 m), vzhodna pa vključuje še dobršen del prave Jeloviške planote (Javorov vrh, 1580 m; Macesnovec, 1312 m; Črna peč, 1273 m). Rečna zajeda Save Bohinjke med Pokljuko in Jelovico, vrezana v debele apnene sklade, se tostran Soteske v Nomenjskem kotliču razširi, strmine v mehkejših tleh zložno prehajajo v široko tektonsko depresijo Bohinjske kotline; pred jezerskim kotlom se dolina zopet zapre. The most mountainous region is the north, where the Alps begin. The Julian Alps and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps have many stunning sharp peaks. The peaks of the Karavanke, the mountains bordering Austria, are more gentle. Much of the east of the country between two biggest cities, Ljubljana and Maribor is uplands. There are gentler hills in the south-east and east, where the vine flourishes, while plains and basins populate the areas between the hills. The capital city Ljubljana and its region lies in the largest basin. Slovenia also has a large plains area, as the east of the country is part of the Pannonian Plain. Not only is the land surface very invigorating, there are also wonders underground: some of the country s 9,000 karstic caves are among the most beautiful in the world, Postojna and Škocjan Caves on south-east are the most popular. Slovenia is home to 2 million sincere, hospitable people of great diligence. Slovenians constantly want to prove themselvese, that is why Slovenia has an exceptional number of top athletes, and a wealth of cultural creativity.
