2 3RD CARIBBEAN INFRASTRUCTURE FORUM The Caribbean Infrastructure Forum (CARIF 2018), now in its third year, is the largest gathering of the regional infrastructure market on the annual calendar. Caribbean nations face an extraordinary challenge. The Caribbean urgently needs to modernize its power, transportation, telecoms and water and wastewater sectors to position the region for growth and competitiveness. To modernize is, today, not enough: all investment in infrastructure must also now be considered through the lens of increasingly frequent and extreme weather events. The next generation of Caribbean infrastructure must be climate-resilient. Across the region, the need is real and the price tag is significant. With need, however, there is also opportunity: new sources of financing are coming online and international interest in the region is high. Hosted by IJGlobal, the infrastructure arm of Euromoney Institutional Investor and New Energy Events, the organizers of the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum, alongside title sponsors CIBC FirstCaribbean and KPMG, CARIF 2018 will convene policy-makers, utilities, financiers, multilaterals to map out the region s infrastructure needs, generate vital new relationships, and introduce world-class Caribbean projects to international sources of financing. Join us in December in Nassau, Bahamas for the Caribbean infrastructure event of the year. Great networking opportunity with stimulating panels and dynamic speakers. Gordon Burton, Chairman, Turks & Caicos Airport Authority A high quality, focused event bringing together the right mix of key people and topics.
