1 Capital Projects 2015 Ward 21 BIA Projects Forest Hill North Gateway: The City of Toronto Economic Development and the Forest Hill Village BIA are collaborating to create a dynamic northern gateway to Forest Hill Village. The goals for the project are: to enhance the streetscape at Suydam park for pedestrians with lighting, seating, and planting; to provide a small gathering area at the south gateway to the park; to identify the entry into Forest Hill Village from the North. Bridge Rehabilitation Spadina Road Bridge: Work will start again in early April for the rehabilitation of the bridge over the Nordheimer Ravine, from Churchill reservoir to south of St. Clair W. Spadina Road will be reduced to one lane of northbound traffic from Russell Hill Drive to St. Clair Avenue W. The project will end in the early summer. Community Gardens Frankel Lambert: Proposal received to expand the community garden. Awaiting response on next actions from Parks. Hydro Corridor Allotment Gardens: We are looking forward to building these gardens along the Hydro corridor by Bathurst and Dupont. Currently communicating with the Parks Department to make this project viable in future. The area under consideration is located between the rail line north of Dupont and the south end of the Hillcrest TTC railyards. Cycling Ward 21 Bike Plan Expansion: Priorities are the Beltline West, Winona Dr lane, and Allen Rd lane to Cedarvale. Others for consideration are east/west Benson & Tyrrel, north/south on Wychwood, Glen Cedar contra-flow 2015, and a summer pilot for new signage on Glen Cedar. Bike share: We have committed funds from condominium and rental developments to bring a number of stations to Ward 21. Currently surveying cyclists to draw up a list of preferred locations, which could include George Brown College, Tollkeeper's Park, Davenport Library, and St. Clair West Station.

The anticipated completion date is mid to end of Petro Canada Site/St. Michael's College High School: The land where the Petro Canada gas station previously existed belongs to St. Michael's College High School. They have decided not to sell the land but to keep it for school purposes. At present, we have no information as to the specifics of their plans.
