2 a I am lue pb Cam amper Bay C me Ask y wh A Camp Information Nights I m having the best time at Camp Blue Bay! Meetings held at the Girl Scout Service Center will give you the opportunity to meet with representatives from both Summer Fun Day Camp at Wantagh and Camp Blue Bay to learn more about our summer camp programs. Last night we roasted marshmallows and made s mores over a campfire that we built ourselves! Parents, bring along your daughter to learn about a typical day at camp and get answers to any questions you may have. After breakfast my unit and I headed to the Creek for boating. This week I m learning how to canoe! We had a great time racing the kayaks and exploring the creek! Tuesday, January 23, 2018 Thursday, February 1, 2018 Wednesday, February 7, 2018 Tuesday, March 6, :30pm-8:30pm Before lunch we headed to the sports field for initiatives where we played team building games. This was one of my favorite activities so far, I came up with an idea to help us complete the challenge! We all did really well so that means we are ready to go on the ropes course tomorrow! Girl Scout Service Center 110 Ring Road West Garden City, NY Register online at gsnc.org Camp Blue Bay Open House Meet the Summer Camp Director! Enjoy a drive with your family to East Hampton and visit our beautiful Camp Blue Bay. Learn more about our facility and summer camp programs. Our Summer Camp Director and volunteers will be available to answer any questions you may have. Finally, take a self-guided tour of our camp grounds. Saturday, May 5, 2018 or Sunday, May 6, :00am 3:00pm Camp Blue Bay 103 Flaggy Hole Road East Hampton, NY Register online at gsnc.org Arrange for a visit to Camp Blue Bay that works for you! Not everyone s schedule will work for the open house to meet the Summer Camp Director. Feel free to contact Laura Bissett-Carr, Director of Camping Services at Camp Blue Bay Office at BissettL@gsnc.org or to arrange a date and time to take a self-guided tour of the facility at your convenience. 2 Dear Mom, For breakfast this morning we had French toast, I ate 2 helpings and a bowl of cereal. All the camp activities make me very hungry! For lunch we had raviolis, the counselors sang a silly song about it while we ate dessert. Right now it is rest hour, I opened my mail, took a power nap and learned a new card game. It s almost time for arts & crafts, I m working on creating something I can bring home. I can t wait to show you! I m excited for swimming later, the lifeguards are teaching me breaststroke. My goal is to be a green cap by the end of the week! Tonight is theme meal, after showers we will get dressed up in the costumes we made and have a party in the Dining Hall. Tomorrow night is the talent show, so before bed we will be putting in some extra time preparing for our act. I was nervous at first but now I m eager to take the stage. This is going to be the best summer ever! Thanks for sending me to Summer Camp!
