One being the Charter Gas engine tractor and another was the Froelich engine. The wet, sandy soil during the Spring Planting Program at Three Sisters Park was relatively easy plowing compared to other locations in drier years. Students experience the difficulties of soil tilling. Thousands of farmers in undeveloped countries still use primitive tools such as this. The girl with the raised hand thinks she has a better way to use the wooden implement. At Spring Planting students gain an appreciation for the improvements that John Deere made in the walking plow. The Club donated use of a Corn Sheller for this event. In addition, the club has committed to sponsor one class each year.
