M E A D O W S T R E E T Newsletter Date: 09/23/13 Third Precinct - Sector 311 In this Issue Greeting 1 Crime Stats 2 Location of Incidents 3-6 Crime Prevention 7 Mission Statement 8 Our Neighborhoods Greetings, During the reporting period of August 20, 2013 to September 16, 2013, 2 violent were reported compared to 3 violent crimes during the same date range in 2012 reflecting a 33% decrease. The sector experienced 73 property crimes during the reporting period. In comparison to the same date range in 2012, 56 property crimes. The ratio reflects a 30% increase. The two violent crimes consisted of 2 Aggravated Assaults. One of the incidents were cleared by arrest. Carillon Carytown Colonial Place Country Club of Va. Huguenot Malvern Gardens Mary Munford Monument Ave Museum District Sauer s Gardens Southhampton Stadium Stonewall Court Stony Point Stratford Hills Three Chopt Univ. of Richmond Westhampton Willow Lawn Willow Oaks Wilton Windsor Farms Oxford On August 30, 2013, between 0830 and 1530 hours, a burglary occurred in the 4500 block of Augusta Ave. The suspect stole silver flatware, jewelry, electronics, and a firearm. On September 2, 2013, between 1130 and 1330 hours, a burglary occurred at the same location in the 4500 block of Augusta Ave. The suspect entered the home and stole the remaining silver flatware that was left behind after the first incident. On September 7, 2013, Henrico County Police arrested Robert Kent Barrett, WM, 26 years of age, for three burglaries committed in Henrico. Based upon an independent investigation and evidence obtained, Richmond Police subsequently charged Mr. Barett with the two burglaries committed on Augusta Avenue. Richmond Police conducted a Command Staff community walk on September 10, The walk took place in the Museum District in the vicinity of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
