2 Thanks to everyone for their help with the runs in July &August, we d like to cement the winter runs quickly as they re usually the most difficult to assign. Spring is now available. Run 1560 Hills, Stairs, Parks and Wet Ground. (I thought QR was going to end it there but continued thus punctuation and clarifications the editors own ) A small group of runners set off from South Hurstville RSL, south along Connells Point Rd. Because of weather conditions (QR means inclement weather conditions as weather conditions are omnipresent), I asked Pig if he could take over TM duties if it started raining and he volunteered to do the whole trail. The first On-back was in the Esplanade, we ran light-footed further on down Connells Point Rd and into Rowe St. After a Check at Resthaven St, we followed Rowe St took us into Greenacre Rd then into Morshead Dr then to an On-back in Rickard Rd. Then We progressed with great speed and agility through a park and back onto Morshead Dr End Map 1 The Pack raced Down Morshead Dr to an On-back which sent us and then back to house no. 72 (which the front runners ran past 3 times!!!) and up some stairs to Homedale Cr. The Pack continued with slightly blunted enthusiasm Onto a Check at Connells Point Rd and then to an On-back which sent us back along Connells Point Rd to Riverview Ave End Map 2 The Pack trawled Down Riverview Ave and down a flight of stairs to an On-back in Terry St. End Map 3 The Pack turned slowly Back up Terry St (nothing prior to this point suggested we went down Terry St in order to go back up.. but I know you re still with me) and into Riverview St and down through Riverview and into Cross St to an On-back in Cross St (the On-back was in Cross St, everyone clear about that!) Then the Pack trotted into Kyle Pde to a Check and then into Merriman St to and another Check then into Zipros s Restaurant onto an On-back (Strange place to place an On-back, Rabbit must have stopped for lunch while setting the run). Further down Merriman St the Pack strolled to another Check. We found the trail into Waratah St and followed along Waratah St up some more stairs (actually the stairs were off Waratah St as they are particularly difficult for vehicles to navigate) to a Check then and into Wentworth Ave along Wentworth and on to Aveling St to another Check. We sniffed out the trail into James St End Map 5 (For those of you keeping count, Map 4 was missing in action!) Then most of the Pack, as the clever ones had turned for home streets back; headed through a park onto Stuart St then with a whiff of Bucket, turned onto King Georges Rd and then into Phillip St to an On-back in Walton St which sent the scowling Pack Back to Lynwood St End Map 6 Page 2
3 The middle of the Pack came On to an On-back in Walton St which turned them back to Lynwood St and on to Crawford St. We crossed into a Park and lurched out up more stairs out onto Crawford St to a Check where the front runners, now wasted from the effort, found trail then into Terry St End Map 7 The exhausted and thirsty remnants of the Pack hurled abuse at the to a Check on Tavistock Rd then with mounting fatigue crawled on to the Mall and on Home! Good Long run; plenty of checks and On-backs. May Thanks Pig OnOn QR Circle Report Cold Duck, aware that the Walkers would be impatiently waiting for the Bucket Opening, took the long short-cut Home accompanied by Bingo who in complete subjugation of her own desire to run another 10klm, deemed it appropriate to ensure he made the journey safely. Rim Liquor, Queen Rodent, Sir Les, Tickle, Goon, Scotch Mist, Squatting Squaw and Lone Arranger arrived just as Hannibal had finally offered assistance to retrieve Bucket from the Duck-mobile. Dundee and Pig (Guest TM) puffed their way back, claiming to have done the entire trail and in complete disbelief that they were the last runners in! The Harriettes appeared confused over the weather conditions; SlotCard was brandishing a raised umbrella; which at that height became a crotch-catcher! Sandra Dee and Spinifex protected their blow jobs under hoods, while Taxing, Goldmart, Grenade, Kizzme, Rabbit and others tolerated the light drizzle. After debating the source of the smoke filling the air; Wood, Coal, Marijuana, Jewish Stocktake; Hannibal called Circle Up. South Hurstville The Jewel of St George Obviously Hannibal was somewhat stretched for unique identifiers.. but no! Some chap, whose name I missed due to inhaling too much smoke.. was editor of some Blue Magazine for Blokes who bat for the other team! Tastefully presenting naked men and bound in Cum-proof paper added Dundee. On behalf of those who attended the Soldier s Point B2H3 Christmas in July, Hannibal acknowledged the super effort by GoldMart (ably assisted on both sides of the sheets by Likesa) who organised an entertaining, successful weekend If only Blondie could remember it! Page 3
4 Run Report Without notice, Squatting Squaw was nominated as Run Reporter. Squaw thought Rabbit s Trail one suitable to the Super Athletes that made up the front of the Pack. A well set run with loads of everything essential, lots of arrows, lots of Checks and On-backs and 72 stairs! A score of 8/10 Generous for a Scotswoman! Visitors: - Sandra Dee and DNF Athletes: - Queen Rodent 1150 Runs Birthdays: - None New Shoes: - Joker & I ll keep mentioning it until he gets to drink out of them. Prickette and Prick nominations Pig nominated Spinifex for no other reason than to remind everyone that he was at Circle. Dirty Weekend nominated Sandra Dee for having drawn our attention to her Blow Job. The Pack nominated Cold Duck! Hannibal broached no discussion of his choice! Participants will get to be a part of what is shaping up to be the largest congregation of hashers the world has ever known. Motherhash is ready to welcome you back to the origins; be transported back in time to where our hash forebears first germinated and gave birth to our very realm. Gispert and his band of trailblazing initiates of 1938 will be on hand, metaphorically, to welcome you back to our spiritual home, the HASH HOUSE. Yes, Motherhash s 80thAnniversary will conjunct with the unveiling of the resurrected HASH HOUSE, albeit by necessity in a different locality. Be the fortunate first 1000 registrants, and pay only USD80.00 for the hashing experience of your lifetime! Registrations can be done online. Visit our website at: and click on the link to our 80th Anniversary. Please note that registrations are only accepted via our online registration portal as mentioned above, so please help out your friends who are not so IT savvy. We will not accept any hard copy or direct registrations. This 3 days event is open to ladies as well. On On to the BIG 80th!!! Hardy Boy Organising Secretary Motherhash s 80th Anniversary Ps We strongly suggest, the real hashers register quickly before the Early Bird rate is all taken up 518 at time of writing. Page 6
7 Dundee s Rant of The Week I was listening to some stupid politician trying to tell everyone that we should pay no attention to the give way to the right rule in roundabouts & only give way to those in the roundabout?? Am I missing something? Are there vehicles which enter from the left & turn right into roundabouts? If there are then I m going to stop driving. All the roundabouts I ve experienced turn left into them, which means everyone is on your right when you enter. How is this confusing to a politician? Oh that s it he was a politician. Snickers Serious Scientific Summations Snickers has been sighted attending Mount Rushmore in the Dakotas, which has me somewhat confused as I m not sure as to viewing dead Presidents has with the meaning of life but all should be revealed next week on his return.
