2 GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE A very big THANK YOU to the Members of WyomingPBS who made our March drive successful. Thanks to local programs like Over Wyoming and Blizzard of 49, we raised 20% more than in March of As I say on-air, your membership dollars help us purchase your favorite programs and produce more of the Wyoming stories you love. You make it happen. We also received a very generous gift from the trust of a WyomingPBS family from Casper, members for almost 25 years. We are deeply touched by their thoughtfulness. As they requested, their gift becomes part of the WyomingPBS Endowment and will be used to fund local programs. In addition to our own staff of talented producers, WyomingPBS also works with independent producers throughout the state to bring the best Wyoming stories to you. Jackson, Wyoming Producer Jennifer Tennican has a new program premiering in May, Far Afield: A Conservation Love Story. The program tells the story of 91-year-old Jackson Hole News&Guide columnist Bert Raynes. Bert inspires citizens to observe and care about their wild neighbors. Bird watchers and nature lovers have been eagerly reading Bert s column, Far Afield, for more than three decades. We were proud to partner with Jennifer to distribute the program to over 80 PBS stations nationwide. Long time WyomingPBS Producer Geoff O Gara, the creative force behind Dick Cheney: A Heartbeat Away and Over Wyoming, is finishing his most recent project about the Green River Drift. We hope to air that show in the early Fall. Fans of Producer Tom Manning - the force behind Blizzard of 49, End of Track, and many more programs for WyomingPBS - will be pleased to know he is hard at work on his next project. We are partnering with MontanaPBS to tell the story of The Bozeman Trail. While not as famous as some the other westward expansion trails, the Bozeman played an important role in the settlement of northern Wyoming and southern Montana. We re at the very beginning of the project and will start fundraising this summer. Bringing the best Wyoming stories to you is one of our most important missions. Thank you for watching and thank you for being part of our family.
