4 Information Item Thank you to Georgia Lehr, Jodie Heimbigner and Barb Weber for the goodies tonight. A short video of the Moonshine Tea ad that was filmed at our car show (with some of our club cars included) was shown. Meeting 8:10 PM ACTION: Don Weber MUSTANG FOR SALE Good afternoon all! I'm sending this in hopes that one of you may can help me connect with someone interested in purchasing a 1966 Mustang. My girl-friend's son (Fabian) inherited this vehicle 4 years ago when his father passed away. Unfortunately, he's now being sued for the funeral bill and is willing to sell the Mustang. He has set the price at $5,000 minimum which will cover 1/2 the funeral bill. This may be more than the value but we're hoping to find a buyer who has a charitable heart. As you will see in the picture, the car is candy apple red, however, per the plate code, the original color was sauterne gold. The car does run and he has a new headliner and 2 new floor panels that were purchased but never installed Ford Mustang Coupe; 6 cyl; 200 cid; automatic; candy apple red w/racing stripes; black interior; clear title Please feel free to contact Fabian Weirich (830) or stop by 18 N. Nugent Ave, Johnson City TX. I'm BJ Miller (512) and will relate any information if you can't reach Fabian. 4
5 MARK S ACTIVITY REPORT Howdy LARC Members, It's time for the Newsletter so here goes...hope y'all are staying cool. The July meeting was fun cept when leaving, Our beloved President took a bad spill on the way to their truck. He is getting better, almost back to the Donnie we all " Love an Adore " Past events. July 17th. We met at the Kingsland Library and presented our Car Show Charity check to the Library's Children's Reading Program. We had 5 Club Cars and 11 members. This is a great place to donate, the kids are fun and the Program's ladies really make us feel appreciated... July 22nd. was the Cops an Rodders Car Show at the Omni Hotel in S. Austin, Had about 50 cars, There were some really nice entries this year also the Big Pink Firetruck was there. Awful warm so we left early... July 27th. DD Pellam's Dinner Extravaganza at Grand Central Cafe in Kingsland. This is almost as much fun as The Christmas Party... July 28th. and 29th. Was the Fredericksburg Swap Meet just above the heat o hell... EDITOR S CORNER It is so good to see our Pres getting up and around again. Your friendly editor is pretty sure that the LARC folks have kept and are keeping him in their prayers. It is good to see him getting ready to mount up again. July s Friday Night Fever caused our show cars to GET WET!!!! Some of us had towels to wipe off the damage. Hope the water didn t cause any rust or rain spots. Our 67 Vette hadn t been rained on for years, and the 17 got rained on for the first time. First time for everything, I guess. DD s Dinner Extravaganza at the Grand Central Café was great. Whod a thunk that a bunch of mature folks can be such a bunch of rowdies?? We are getting a heck of a lot of more joy out of life than a lot of folks out there. It s all attitude and good friends. THANKS too to our 3 Musketeers!! Our rowdy get togethers on certain Thursdays at various eateries probably have other folks envious of all the fun and camaraderie we are having We will miss Bob Mauck. He always had a smile, enjoyed life, and contributed to the well-being of Blanco County by his public service. He had also served our Club as an Officer. The Museum that he had put together at his ranch transported us back in time to the 30s and 40s, so detailed were his reconstruction efforts on it. A life well lived!! A BIG THANKS to our very own Mark Kidd for putting together the great lunch we had during Aqua Boom, in the shade of the Security State Bank. Those foot-long wieners were a meal in themselves!! Thanks too, to the folks who brought the salads and desserts. It is great having a pair of spark plugs like Mark and George as Activity Directors. 5
