Whilst the Western Australian Museum and Art Gallery of Western Australia both maintain exhibitions showcasing Indigenous culture. The artist s childhood, learning to sail, playing, swimming and fishing in the Swan River was inspiration for this work constructed from recycled jarrah and old boat parts. Eliza is a reminder of the Crawley baths, built in 9 and central to aquatic activities in Perth as a training pool for many champions, a centre for swimming, lifesaving and recreation.
