Leisure Networks Breakaway staff are experienced supporting people and working within the NDIS and we offer new and exciting opportunities for people to experience fun getaways in safe and supportive environments. 1 INFORMATION PACKS Info packs will be sent in the mail to all participants 1 month before the event. Packs include what to bring lists, maps for pick up and drop off, itinerary and medication documents plus any extra info you need to know. MEDICATIONS Leisure Networks has strict policies & procedures regarding medication administration. Please note if your child requires a car seat, it is the family s responsibility to provide this. ACTIVITIES: Saturday head up for a day at Sovereign Hill and a sleepover in their amazing hotel. We will head out for a small part of Saturday evening to enjoy the White Night festival and see all the amazing light displays. Sunday More Sovereign Hill adventures, take a wander around Lake Wendouree, see the Tram Museum and catch any local events that might be on. LADY NORTHCOTE YMCA ADVENTURE CAMP DATE: 4pm Friday 31st August 4pm Sunday 2nd September AGE: 7 12 LOCATION: Lady Northcote Recreation Camp, 1273 Glenmore Road, Glenmore COST: $40 BOOKINGS OPEN: 10th November 2017 CLOSE: 17th August 2018 Challenge yourself at YMCA s adventure camp just outside Bacchus Marsh. This weekend will be all about building on social skills, trying new activities and building your confidence. Wednesday Spend the day at the Enchanted Adventure Garden and wander around the tree tops, find your way through the hedge maze, and zip line down through the forest. Thursday Take a drive around the Peninsula, stopping in at the local chocolate factory, go for a rockpool ramble and then relax with a nice board game afternoon at the house. Friday Drive to Point Nepean and search through the old Army Barracks, explore Sorrento and then take the Ferry back across the bay. Saturday Challenge yourself at the Otway Fly treetop adventure, check out some of the local waterfalls, and enjoy a beach afternoon with games. We ll be staying at the Big 4 Bright Holiday Park which is set amongst lovely landscaped gardens that attract a variety of wildlife in particular local birds. Ride bikes along the spectacular Rail Trail. Catch your own fish at the Mountain Fresh Trout & Salmon Farm and visit the Red Stag Deer Farm to experience the chance to feed, touch and learn about the animals. How unique! ACTIVITIES: Friday on the way to Bright, stop off at the Ned Kelly Museum & Homestead at Glenrowan or perhaps the Milawa Cheese Company to taste handmade cheese from Victoria s High Country. Arrive at Big 4 Holiday Park and stretch your legs in the beautiful gardens on the Ovens River. Saturday head up to Harrietville and try your hand at fishing for trout. Spend the afternoon riding bikes along the rail trail and take photos of the autumn colours. Finish the day with activities on site. Sunday for the early risers, spend an hour or two at Centenary Park on the climbers, slides, a flying fox, chain net climber, swings and spring rockers. Pack up and head to the Red Stag Deer farm before making the treck back to Geelong. ECHUCA DATE: 12pm Friday 22nd June 5pm Sunday 24th June AGE: yrs LOCATION: Billabong Ranch, Glenville and Tehan Road, Echuca COST: $60 BOOKINGS OPEN: 10th November 2017 CLOSE: 8th June 2018 Up on the Murray there are plenty of sites to see, you might even see a Camel, or three! Come along with us on a weekend with a difference as we spend the weekend getting a true ranch experience. ACTIVITIES: Friday Hit the road up to Echuca, stopping at Gisborne and Bendigo before enjoying dinner by the river. Saturday Time for the local markets, seeing the sites of Echuca and enjoying on site activities including camel riding, animal nursery, mini golf, rock climbing and heaps more! Finish off the night with a campfire toasting marshmallows. Sunday What better way to relax on your Sunday morning than on a Paddlesteamer Cruise down the Murray. Then it s time to head back to Geelong. MERRIJIG/ MT BULLER SNOW DATE: 12pm Friday 17th August 4pm Sunday 19th August AGE: LOCATION: Merrijig Motor Inn, 1915 Mt Buller Road, Merrijig COST: $170 BOOKINGS OPEN: 10th November 2017 CLOSE: 3rd August 2018 This is one of our longest standing weekends away and for good reason. We love our trip up the mountain where we get to play in snow all day long! A fantastic weekend that provides lots of long lasting memories. This year we are hoping to organise a ski or snowboarding lesson for the groups, however this will not be known until a couple of months prior to the trip due to snow season shut down. If this can be arranged, a small additional cost will be incurred. ACTIVITIES: Friday Drive up to Merrijig and have a wander through Mansfield. Saturday Take an early morning bus ride up Mt Buller before it s snow play galore. Today includes a trip up on a chairlift so if you are afraid of heights please let us know before hand. (If we can organise a ski lesson that will be today). Sunday Time to head back to Geelong with a stop in at Marysville or Euroa on the way.

Healsville Sanctuary of course! Get up and close to Australia s best-loved animals. Back at the Ranch, have a go on the giant swing, canoe with friends, build a hut or two or just enjoy the view. ACTIVITIES: Friday Drive up to Healesville and enjoy a nice relaxing camp fire with friends. Saturday Healesville Sanctuary is calling! Spend the day seeing all the animals, and even watch the birds of prey show. Finish off the day with some on site activities. Sunday On the drive back to Geelong, drive through the Dandenongs, wandering the Pioneer Memorial Gardens and making your way through the Hedge Maze. HALLS GAP/ GRAMPIANS DATE: 1pm Friday 2nd November 4pm Sunday 4th November AGE: yrs LOCATION: UC Camping Norval, Grampians Road, Halls Gap COST: $60 BOOKINGS OPEN: 10th November 2017 CLOSE: 19th October 2018 Halls Gap is located in the heart of the Grampians National Park and is a fantastic little spot to explore the great outdoors. This weekend is all about getting back to nature, and spending time with friends in one of the most picturesque parts of Victoria. ACTIVITIES: Friday Hop on the bus and head to Halls Gap, stopping in at Ballarat and Ararat on your way. Grab some pizzas on the way through for a yummy dinner. Saturday Say hi to the local wildlife at the Halls Gap Zoo, take the scenic route through the National Park and check out Mackenzie Falls, Silverband Falls and get a selfie at Reeds and Boroka Lookouts. Sunday Spend a leisurely morning on site with some sports activities, wander the local shops then head back to Geelong through Stawell.

Saturday Hit the town and enjoy the Autumn Festival activities. Feeling a bit tired? Head to the majestic Centenary Park, find a seat and watch the world go by. We will stay at Nagambie Lakes which is a beautiful part of the world with lots of wineries, water activities and apparently the best jam donuts you will every taste! ACTIVITIES: Tuesday Head up to Nagambie for a look around the area, then to Nagambie Lakes to check in, before throwing a line and seeing if you can catch a fish or two. Catch up on all the day s events over dinner before enjoying a nice movie night. Wednesday Spend a relaxing morning by the lake, grab a kayak or paddle boat and cruise around the lake or even take a tour down the Goulbourn River. Go on a local food hunt to find some yummy goodies. Thursday Before heading back to Geelong, do any activities you haven t had the chance to do yet, and visit a winery on your way for lunch and a tasting. The busiest city in Australia also has loads to see and do, so we are off for a week to explore some of the best Sydney has to offer. We ll also head down to Bondi for a day by the beach. ACTIVITIES: Monday Fly to Sydney, check in and do a little site seeing around this huge city. Tuesday Visit the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour, plus the Chinese Garden of Friendship. Wednesday Take the Ferry to Bondi and spend the day by the beach (don t forget to grab an icecream along the way). Thursday Rest day with group options available for those who still have plenty of energy. Friday Take a trip over the Harbour Bridge to Luna Park for a fun day of thrills OR Taronga Zoo to cuddle some of the local koala s. Saturday Time to head back home.

Spend the day seeing all the animals, and even watch the birds of prey show. Finish off the day with some on site activities. Sunday On the drive back to Geelong, drive through the Dandenongs, wandering the Pioneer Memorial Gardens and making your way through the Hedge Maze. HALLS GAP/ GRAMPIANS DATE: 12pm Friday 16th November - 5pm Sunday 18th November AGE: LOCATION: UC Camping Norval, Grampians Rd, Halls Gap COST: $60 BOOKINGS OPEN: 10th November 2017 CLOSE: 1st November 2018 Halls Gap is located in the heart of the Grampians National Park and is a fantastic little spot to explore the great outdoors. This weekend is all about getting back to nature, and spending time with friends in one of the most picturesque parts of Victoria. ACTIVITIES: Friday Hop on the bus and head to Halls Gap, stopping in at Ballarat and Ararat on your way. Grab some pizzas on the way through for a yummy dinner. Saturday Say hi to the local wildlife at the Halls Gap Zoo, take the scenic route through the National Park and check out Mackenzie Falls, Silverband Falls and get a selfie at Reeds and Boroka Lookouts. Sunday Spend a leisurely morning on site with some sports activities, wander the local shops then head back to Geelong through Stawell. It s our closest neighbouring country, and there is so much to love about New Zealand. This trip will be about exploring the best of the North Island. Saturday See the best of Auckland with a wander around the city, sample some of the best food in New Zealand, and take a trip up the Skytower. Sunday Drive to Hamilton and check out the amazing botanical gardens and lovely Lakeside walks. Monday Hobbiton Day! This is a not to be missed activity seeing the set of Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Tuesday Rotorua. This is adventure time with the Luge, skyline and zipline all options for your day. Wednesday Rotorua to Auckland. Thursday Today is a relaxing day at Auckland Zoo. Friday Time to farewell New Zealand and head back home.

This weekend we will show you around not only the city, but also the Bellarine with lots of food and wine to try. ACTIVITIES: Friday Drive to Geelong and set up shop before heading out to see the famous floating Christmas Tree and exploring the Geelong Waterfront. Saturday Road trip time as we head to the Bellarine for some of the local markets, wine tasting, rockpool rambles and berry picking. Finish off the day with a BBQ at Barwon Valley park. Sunday Check out Buckley s Falls, and end the fabulous trip with a visit to the You Yangs where you have the option to walk to Flinders Peak. Phillip Island is one of our most popular weekends and for good reason. There is so much to do and see, and you will leave with lots of memories to hang on to for a lifetime. ACTIVITIES: Friday Drive to Phillip Island, stop in at San Remo and enjoy dinner at the park then settle in for a movie night at the camp. Saturday Today is based on group choice, however, activities will include Koala Conservation Centre, a pit stop to the Grand Prix circuit, on site activities including flying fox, giant swing, life size fuse ball, volleyball and other games before it s time for the one and only Penguin Parade. Sunday After farewelling camp, Panny s Chocolate Factory welcome us to their world of chocolate galore (don t forget to bring some spending money to get some goodies for home!). After this, enjoy lunch at Churchill Island before the trip back home.
