2 Boab Tree Lunchtime with Heritage Tours Welcome to Heritage Tours Specialising in accommodated Tours and camping safaris in Outback Australia HERITAGE TOURS Heritage Tours is a Cairns owned and operated Safari Company. Established in 1989, we have been crossing the Cape York and Kimberley area since our establishment. Our aim is to show you the most beautiful spots on Cape York, the Kimberley and Outback Australia. With this in mind, we have developed itineraries suitable for everyone, with activity options available to suit all age groups. We have developed equipment equal to the best, but kept it simple and practical to meet all the needs of our safari. A variety of 4WD tours is on offer to you, providing the rare opportunity to indulge in the Great Outdoors in comfort and style at an top class trips, which venture off the beaten track to discover the inner beauty of our our beautiful and less travelled outback. 2 Termite Mound CAPE YORK Cape York Peninsular is one of the last unspoilt frontiers in Australia. Until a little over 100 years ago only indigenous Australians enjoyed this unique paradise. Even now, it still remains a wild sparsely in the dry season and then only to four wheel drive vehicles for most of the way. To travel overland to the Cape is still a true adventure allowing the traveller to see the unspoilt and diverse scenery, wildlife and birdlife at close range. Reaching the tip of Cape York and overlooking the myriad of exotic and unspoilt islands, is truly an awe inspiring experience. With only these beautiful islands, reef and azure waters between Australia and Papua New Guinea, one can truly appreciate the experience of standing on the most northern tip of the continent. KAKADU The Northern Territory, encompassing the World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park, epitomises the images of the outback. Some of the wettest and driest landscapes in Australia survive side by side in this unique region. A land of paperbark, pandannus and pied geese. A land of Dreamtime and ancient aboriginal myths. Swamps, lagoons and man eating crocodiles, stunning escarpments, all part of the unique experience of travelling through this region. THE KIMBERLEY The timeless land of the Kimberley region offers spectacular contrasts from sheer escarpments and rugged ranges to vast open plains. Dotted with waterfalls and gorges of awesome proportions, it is home to a myriad of native birds and wildlife. Travelling the rugged Gibb River Road, one can visualise what the pioneers of this land once experienced. Entering this vast and remote land is like taking a step back in time. In Broome, the one time capital of the pearling industry, you have the opportunity to learn about the history of this area through a visit to Chinatown, and the time to appreciate the glorious, deserted, white sandy beaches and turquoise seas. Mitchell Falls WESTERN AUSTRALIA Take your next big adventure from Broome to Perth; Travel through The Great Sandy Desert, Australia s second largest desert, through to Eighty Mile Beach and on to the Karijini National Park, with a landscape of massive mountain ranges and steep gorges of more than 100 metres deep. Within the National Park swim in the crystal clear rock pools, walk through the lush vegetation and marvel at the waterfalls and lookouts at Oxer and Junction pool. Explore Coral Bay with direct access to Ningaloo Reef, one of the rare places on earth where you are able to walk from the beach straight onto a coral reef. CENTRAL AUSTRALIA Want to see the real Outback Australia? Join us on a Central Australia Camping Tour from Adelaide to Alice Springs. Discover the Flinders Ranges and Outback of South Australia, Wilpena Pound and Arkaroola. Experience the townships of Innamincka, Birdsville and Coober Pedy. Why not take the Oodnadatta Track and experience the simple joy of bathing in an Artesian Basin at Dalhousie Springs.
