Your tour guide will meet you at Alice Springs airport and take you on a sightseeing tour of the beating heart of Australia s red centre the town affectionately known as the Alice before arriving at your hotel and enjoying a welcome dinner tonight is at the hotel. Accommodation: Diplomat Hotel or similar (2 nights) Day 2 Wednesday 21 March 2018 (B, L) West MacDonnell Ranges Tour Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before heading out on a full day tour of the West MacDonnell Ranges. You will spend the day exploring the stunning scenery of areas such as Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm, Ormiston Gorge and Glen Helen. Enjoy lunch included in the tour of the West MacDonnell Ranges today followed by dinner at your own arrangements at the hotel tonight. Accommodation: Diplomat Hotel or similar Day 3 Thursday 22 March 2018 (B, L) Alice Springs Uluru / Field of Lights Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out and boarding the bus for the scenic 4 hour drive to Uluru. On the road, you will drive past the flat-topped rise of Atila (Mt.Conner) and the Curtin Springs Station Roadhouse before checking in to the hotel at Ayres Rock Resort. 2 Late this afternoon head out to a special location for a view of Uluru as the sunsets. You will be welcomed at a raised viewing area to watch the last rays of sun hit Uluru as the sun slowly sets behind you. As darkness gradually falls witness 50,000 coloured spheres come to life before your eyes in the display known as the Field of Lights. Returning to the raised viewing area 30 minutes prior to departure for sparkling wine and canapes whilst viewing the illuminated installation in the darkness. Dinner tonight is at your leisure. Accommodation: Outback Pioneer Motel (2 nights) Day 4 Friday 23 March 2018 (B, L) Sunrise Tour of Uluru / Kata Tjuta Tour & Sunset / Sing & Dance Along with Rodney An early start this morning is rewarded with an Uluru sunrise. While the morning is fresh enjoy a walk around the base of the rock, gaining insights into the land and the local Mala Aboriginal people on an interpretive cultural walk with an Aboriginal guide. Once you ve had lunch, perhaps purchase some Indigenous art and craft at the Uluru Cultural Centre. We then head off to Kata Tjuta. Spend some time here wandering around the site s red rock domes on a guided walk, then finish the day toasting the outback s famous Uluru sunset. Transfer back to the hotel and enjoy dinner at leisure followed by a performance by Rodney where you can sing along and have a dance on the dance floor. Day 5 Saturday 24 March 2018 (B, L) Drive to Coober Pedy Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning, check out of your room and settle all incidental charges and board the bus for the southbound trip through to Coober Pedy. Travel across the border into South Australia and visit the town of Marla for a rest stop en route to Coober Pedy. Arrive Coober Pedy and check in to the underground Desert Caves Hotel. Quiet, cool, dark and airy the rooms are spacious with high ceilings. Most visitors say that sleeping underground gives them the best night s sleep they have ever had! Day 6 Sunday 25 March 2018 (B, L) Coober Pedy Sightseeing including Opal Mine Tour / Sunset Canapes Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before heading out to explore this amazing town. Visit the historic Old Timers Mine hand-dug in 1916, features a self-guided walk through tour of display galleries, two underground homes and precious seams of opal, while the Umoona Mine & Museum contains an underground house, Aboriginal interpretive centre, panoramic theatre, historic displays, opal retailing shop and showroom plus Aboriginal arts and crafts. Late this afternoon, take a drive out to Breakaways for Canapes and sparkling wine whilst watching the sunset before returning to the hotel to enjoy dinner at leisure. 3 Day 7 Monday 26 March 2018 (B, L, D) Drive to William Creek / Optional scenic flight over Lake Eyre / Sing & Dance Along with Rodney Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before departing for William Creek and the stunning Lake Eyre Basin. William Creek is reputed to be the smallest town in South Australia surrounded by the world s largest cattle station, Anna Creek Station. It is the closest town to Lake Eyre North and is the gateway to the Simpson Desert. Scenic flights are available at your own expense to experience the beauty of Lake Eyre (Kati Thanda) and the amazing Anna Creek Painted Hills. Wilpena Pound is a natural amphitheatre of mountains located 429 kilometres north of Adelaide in the heart of the Flinders Ranges National Park. This extraordinary landscape is 800 million years old and has been home to Adnyamathanha people for tens of thousands of years. Journey further south today through the mid-north historic region of South Australia through to the Clare Valley. Enjoy tasting some of the wines that this region is famous for before arriving at your accommodation, Clare Country Club. A farewell dinner has been organised tonight at a local winery where you get to sing and dance along to guest performer Dave Prior. Once full payment has been received and documents issued, an airline cancellation fee of $250 per person, hotel cancellation fee of $250 per person plus a $30 administration fee per booking will be charged. FORCE MAJEURE If by any means of any event of force majeure (which shall include terrorism, pandemic or any cause or event outside our control) we shall be delayed in or prevented from performing our obligations, then such delay or non-performance shall not be deemed a breach or entitle a damages claim.
