1 Sunday 27 August am to 3pm St Brendan s Catholic Primary School s Community Bash (Fete) will be held in the school grounds at Hawtree Street, Moorooka on Sunday 27 August 2017 between 9am and 3pm. The St Brendan s Community Bash 2017 is the major annual fundraising event of the St Brendan s Parents and Friends (P&F) Association. All monies raised during the Community Bash go to the development of the school and to aid the daily learning of the school children. Mr Rick Sheehan will again be the Emcee (ie. Master of Ceremonies). Rick will keep you up-to-date through the day with lots of announcements and news about what is going on around the Community Bash. The Site Manager is Mrs Angela Simpson. Any queries on Community Bash day may be directed to Angela. Many people volunteer their time to help conduct the event in a variety of ways. The P&F wishes to acknowledge and thank everyone who has donated their time to ensure a successful event. The P&F also wishes to acknowledge and thank all those who donated goods to sell on the stalls. The success of the Community Bash 2017 relies on donations and these are greatly appreciated. Market Stalls The Community Bash will hold the following market stalls with goods for sale:- Cakes and Speciality Cakes Sweets and Jams Fruit and Vegetables Arts and Crafts Books Pre-loved goods (Trash & Treasure) Plants New Shoes, Bags & Stationery The following school community people have volunteered their time to convene these stalls:- Cakes Kate Carrigan Speciality Cakes Kris Payne Sweets & Jams Geneva Higgins

There will be a variety of food and drink options available:- Café and BBQ Beef Burgers - $5 (add bacon Sausage on Bread - $2.50 and/or egg for an extra $1 each) Beef and Chicken Kebabs - Hot Chips - $4.50 $3 Bacon & Egg Rolls - $4 Dagwood Dog - $4 Mini Spring Rolls 3 for $2.50 Sandwiches between $3.50 and $4.50 Jam drops 50c or 3 for $2 Scones, jam & cream 2 for $3 Pot of Tea - $3 Instant Coffee - $2 Biscuits - $1 Soft Drinks - $2 Flavoured milk - $2 Juice - $2 Bottled water - $2 African cuisines Coffee cart Ice cream van Slushie van
3 Multi-Draw Raffle & Silent Auction The Community Bash will be conducting a multi-draw raffle and silent auctions. Tickets for the multi-draw raffle will be available for purchase on the day, for $2 per ticket. Bids can also be made for the items in the silent auction on the day. Rides and Amusements The Community Bash will have rides and amusements for the young and the young at heart, including:- Super Sizzler Tea Cup Ride Aquatic Adventure Giant Slide Pre-purchased wrist bands for all day rides will cost $30 each (or $80 for a family of 3 or more). Wrist bands on the day will cost $35 each and individual ride tickets will cost $5 each. These will be available from the ticket booth. There will be a Wild Encounters reptile show between 9am and 12pm. The reptiles on show include:- Snakes Lizards Skinks Crocodile There will be an opportunity to hold and/or take a photograph (your own camera or device) with some of the reptiles. The cost to hold and/or take a photograph with a reptile will be $4 per reptile or 3 for $10, per person/family. There is no cost for the Wild Encounters Reptile show, other than if you want to hold and/or
4 be photographed with a reptile (or 2). All money generated from photographs will go towards the funds raised from the fete. Face painting will be available between 9am and 2pm. Super Steph will be painting faces for the young and young at heart at a cost of $5 for a half face. Make sure you find Miss Renee from St Brendan s Outside School Care to have your face painted with a variety of different designs available. Parents, teachers, stall convenors are all invited to have their face painted. Side-show alley will also provide great entertainment for children and adults alike.
