2 Massport has been evaluating possible improvements located in the North Service Area at Logan International Airport. This Program would help to advance some of the proposed improvements. Massport looking for a qualified multidiscipline consulting firm or team with experience to perform design- and construction-related services for the following: Installation of a fifth Jet A fuel storage tank and associated connections back into the existing jet fuel storage and distribution system. Demolition of existing Massport buildings/structures to facilitate the construction of additional aircraft parking apron.

4 Consultant should have demonstrated experience including, but not limited to: Aircraft Jet A fuel storage and distribution systems Building demolition Aircraft pavement design Civil Structural Mechanical Electrical Telecommunications Utility location & relocation Plumbing Fire protection Geotechnical Code compliance Cost estimating Construction phasing Sustainable design

8 Looking for the selected consultant to do field investigations especially related to existing utilities, data collection, planning, design, cost estimates, construction phasing, bid phase services, resident inspection, construction administration, commissioning of the new fuel tank/piping system, project closeout, etc. Coordinate with other Massport Departments, BOS Fuel, etc. with respect to construction phasing to minimize operational impacts.

9 Request for Qualifications Evaluation Criteria Current level of experience & knowledge of the team for similar projects, particularly the Project Manager. Geographic location & availability of the Project Manager, inspectors, and other key team members. Experience & expertise of subconsultants. Development of BIM Model & management of a BIMxP. Demonstrated experience in Lean Planning, Lean Construction, and working collaboratively with all stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to perform work with minimal disruption to facility operations. Familiarity with MGL, including filed sub-bid experience. Cost management & scheduling capabilities. M/W/DBE & affirmative action efforts indicate proposed % of M/W/DBE participation. Current level of work & past performance with the Authority, if any. Discussion about your firm s QA/QC procedures. Project understanding and technical approach to this project.

10 Selection Process The consultant selection will follow a two-step approach. First, all the consultants qualifications will be reviewed and evaluated and a shortlisting of a minimum of three firms would be created. Second, of the shortlisted consultants, the final selection process would be performed. Massport reserves the right to conduct interviews prior to the final selection, if deemed appropriate.
