4 January Somme & Ypres Belgium Having just returned from the Christmas holidays, your students will be bursting with energy and keen to take on a new challenge. A trip to the Somme & Ypres will expose them to a new environment and will create memories to last a lifetime. 5 Febuary Paris France This beautiful capital city, rich with culture and bursting with places for your students to explore, is one of our most popular destinations. Visit during February and you will benefit from less tourists meaning you have more time to discover the city and its must see attractions without having to wait in line. Take a walk along the banks of the the river Seine while enjoying a delicious hot crêpe, see the excitement in your students faces when they see the Eiffel Tower for the first time and marvel at the Parisian architecture. 6 March Barcelona Spain Located on the north east coast of Spain, Barcelona is world famous for many things including its successful football team, history and architecture. 7 April London United Kingdom As the city gets ready to host its biggest sporting event, the London Marathon, April is a great time of year to visit this exuberant capital. A visit to London will bring your students face to face with some of the world s most famous landmarks and historical attractions including St Paul s Cathedral and the Tate Modern. Your group can also enjoy the spacious parks and beautiful gardens which are scattered throughout the city. 9 June Rome Italy Rome is without doubt one of the most beautiful cosmopolitan cities in the world. From a past steeped in history and mythology to ancient ruins, tasty food and world-class art, the long days of sunshine make June the perfect time to visit. A trip to Rome would not be complete without a visit to The Vatican and St Peters Basilica for a deeper understanding of how the Catholic Church has influenced the culture of Italy. 10 July Bay of Naples & Sorrento Italy A compact and beautiful area of dramatic extremes, the Bay of Naples & Sorrento are home to sheer mountains, peaceful coastal plains and sparkling islands, as well as bigcity life and traditional villages. Nearly two thousand years ago, a large area of the Bay of Naples was swept away by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, leaving behind an invaluable opportunity to uncover the Roman way of life. Encourage your students to appreciate the devastation this caused and examine the ruins that remain. 11 August Krakow Poland A vibrant city that has overcome adversity to become a thriving cultural hub. The cobblestone streets, rich history and friendly locals make Krakow a must visit destination for your students. One of the best things about Krakow is how easy it is to get around you can stroll around the city taking it all in rather than having to use transport. Explore Europe s biggest medieval town square and the UNESCO World Hertiage Listed Old Town, or head out of the city and pay tribute to the estimated 1.1 million who lost their lives in the Auschwitz concentration camp. Visit in September when the weather is cooling and the Northern Lights reappear, giving you an opportunity to see firsthand the beauty of this aurora. As well as volcanic landscapes, dramatic coastlines and impressive waterfalls you will also experience a unique culture and friendly locals on your visit to Iceland. A visit to the Blue Lagoon will enable your students to learn about why so many people bath in the geothermal seawater and watch your student s jaws drop when they arrive at the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. 14 November Washington DC United States of America Home to the US government, Washington DC is a capital city with a powerful history and an interesting future. In November, the high-season tourists have left and the autumnal colours look beautiful against all the marble monuments across the city.
