1 ITALIAN RENAISSANCE Travel Plan Detailed itinerary Day 1 London/Venice (arrival) Departure from London. Upon arrival at Venice Airport you will be met by a representative who will hand over your documentation and transfer you by private vehicle to the pier. Continuation by water taxi to your accommodation. Rest of the day at your disposal. In the evening, dinner at the hotel restaurant Club del Doge. Day 2 Venice Today you will be met at your accommodation by the private English speaking guide and you will start the city tour with an introductory walking tour of St. Mark, and including an in- - - depth tour of the interior of St. Mark Basilica, followed by a private one- - - hour boat tour of the Grand Canal and minor canals. Continuation by a magical journey through a labyrinth of back alleys and meandering canals to discover the real Venice. Surrounded by an open air museum, your expert English- - - speaking guide will lead you on a fascinating journey recounting the history of the areas you visit and their important buildings. 2 Day 3 Venice/Murano & Burano/Venice Meet the private guide in your hotel and start the day visiting the beautiful island of Burano, one of the most picturesque of the Venetian lagoon. Famous for its lace- - - making industry, this charming and colourful fishing village has its streets and canals lined by pastel coloured houses. After a pleasant stroll around the Island of Burano, we'll make our way to Murano which is the most famous of the Venetian Islands, thanks to the world known "Murano Glass", produced here. The people of Venice have been making crystal and glass since the 10th Century, when the Venetian merchants brought back the secrets of production from the East. You will also visit a selected glass- - - factoryand see a demonstration of glass- - - blowing as well as visit the factory's showroom full of beautiful glassware that exemplify the high quality of glass produced on the Island. Transfer back to Venice. In the afternoon, enjoy travelling in a traditional Venetian Gondola, one of the quintessential things to do for most tourists looking for classic city sightseeing tours of Venice. Day 4 Venice/San Cassiano in Badia (Dolomites) Private transfers from Venice to Rosa Alpina Hotel & Spa (3 hours approx.), in the heart of the Italian Dolomites and set amidst in the village of San Cassiano in Badia at 1,537 metres above sea level with 750 inhabitants. Day 10 Rome Meet the guide at your hotel: the day will start with a three- - - hour walking tour of the Ancient Roman Forum combined with an in- - - depth tour of the Colosseum, and followed by a chance to admire and discuss Constantine's Arch & the Palatine Hill.
