The project aims to produce electricity for the promotion of industrial development in the region; increase the annual water availability for irrigation of 1500 ha and consumption in the urban center of Sussendenga Objective: Construction of earth dam with side flood spillway and concrete bottom outlet. The infrastructure will have the following dimensions: maximum height - 25 m; storage capacity in NPA = 23 million m 3 ; basin area km 2 and length of the crest m. This project is intended for water storage for irrigation of areas of Chimezi-Zonué, water supply to the headquarters of Sussendenga district; a potential for power generation and regulation of flood flows Objective: Construction of earth dam with water intake. The dimensions of the dam will be - a maximum height m; storage capacity NPA = 2,003,220 m 3 and the crest length of m. The dam is intended to store water for irrigation, water supply to the headquarters of Montepuez district and power generation Objective: Impounding reservoir for irrigation; water supply and power generation Objective: Expansion of irrigation system to 400ha. Installation of a power line to the pumping equipment, consultation for the detailed design of the project Supporting infrastructure: Existence of a 20 ha of irrigation system operated by private farmers and smallholders *Financial study completed Objective: Construction of the 1000 ha irrigation system. *Financial study completed Objective: Construction of a hydroelectric dam with generating capacity of 2400MW. The project will be divided into two stages, the first stage with generating capacity of 1500MW.
