Park and take short walk to a view. Bring your bathing suit and find out why it s named Sliding Rock! Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, a small parking fee is collected. Hike a footbridge over the Davidson River and follow a wellmarked trail to the falls. An easy, round trip hike of 1.5 miles. Pull over here and take a short walk to the first viewing area, which is handicap accessible. For better viewing of this iconic waterfall, take the stairs down to a lower observation platform. Slick Rock Falls 7 From the intersection of US 276, NC 280 and US 64 in Pisgah Forest head north on 276 for 5.3 miles and bear left on FS 475 for 1.5 miles. Turn left on Cascade Lake Rd and travel 2.5 miles. Turn right on aton Rd. and travel 2.5 miles to Hooker Falls Access parking area on the left. Follow Hooker Falls Road.25 mile to a side viewing area. Walk another.1 mile down for a front view. If the weather is warm don t forget your suit this is also a first rate swimming hole. Take the new walking trail paralleling Buck Forest gravel road to High Falls trail. High Falls is an easy scenic walk in the woods approximately, 1.6 miles roundtrip. Take the new walking trail paralleling Buck Forest gravel 18 road to meet up with Buck Forest Rd. Take short walk and cross the covered bridge. Turn right on Conservation Road. Walk approximately one mile and turn right on Bridal Veil Falls Road. Follow road for.5 miles to a single track trail for the viewing area. This is a fairly level, 4.5 mile round trip walk with well marked trails.
