29 Rinn Sistrans Authentic, sporty, beautiful Just like a natural sun terrace, the vast plateau perches comfortably above the Inn valley. The eye is greeted by sweeping fields and meadows cradled by friendly mountains. City life seems miles away and yet two of the most attractive Tyrolean towns are very close by. Located halfway between Innsbruck and picturesque, medieval Hall where many art treasures and cultural gems remind of former wealth and splendour lies the village of Rinn. Innsbruck, the Capital of the Alps, is just a short bus or tram ride away. In Rinn, you find not only the region s largest golf course but also cosy inns, hotels and an inviting camping site. Enjoy boundless winter pleasures at the Glungezer and Patscherkofel ski areas, Kinderskiland Rinn and a variety of cross-country tracks and toboggan runs. An extensive network of hiking paths offers pleasant walks and unique nature experiences. 31 Patsch Ellbögen Very popular since Roman times Nestled amidst the Rosengarten nature reserve, the villages of Patsch and Ellbögen are ideal points of departure for exploring the Patscherkofel area. Here you enjoy a vast variety of gentle walks and guided mountain hikes, together with natural toboggan runs and ski and snowshoe tours departing from the pristine Viggar and Arztal valley. A convenient transfer bus takes you to the trailheads of the most beautiful hiking tours. We especially recommend a visit to the ancient flour mill, for a milling demonstration and some tasty local treats prepared by the farmers wives. Traditional Tyrolean folklore awaits you at the village bandstand in Patsch. Both Ellbögen and Patsch are located along an ancient salt road. Starting in Hall, this major Roman trade route leads past Ampass, Patsch and Ellbögen and climbs up to the Brenner Pass. Today, the former salt road impresses with stunning views of historic buildings and spectacular landscapes. Very popular with athletic cyclists, this scenic route boasts several pleasant refreshment stops between Innsbruck and Brenner. Tired but happy, you find rest and relaxation at the foot of the Patscherkofel, in Patsch Ellbogen.

33 Aldrans Ampass the gateway to innsbruck The vibrant city life is practically at your doorstep: Only three kilometres from the Capital of the Alps and its urban attractions, you can relax in a tranquil environment and yet benefit from the city s varied cultural offer and infrastructure.
