2 2014 Dates For Your Diary 25 th - 26 th January Spalding Motorbike Show SPRINGFIELDS BIKE SHOW The annual Springfields Bike Show returns for another year and the organisers have a fantastic show planned. The Bike Show is the second motorcycle exhibition of the year and thousands of visitors join us each year to enjoy the incredible show bikes, buy new equipment for the season, meet the clubs and check out the celebrity guests. For the 2014 we have the return of James Whitham the ever popular Yorkshireman on the Sunday. On Saturday we have local rider Ben Wilson in attendance. Admission is 7 for Adults, 3 for children (5-15) Parking is free and gates open 10am. 14 th February 2014 St Valentine s Day Dinner & Dance To be held at the Waddington RBL Club for A chance to take your better half for an evening of entertainment, dinner and disco. Only per person. 16 th February 2014 Brunch Meet at Waddington RBL Club Meet at for Full English Breakfast, followed by (weather permitting) a ride to be decided. Maybe a meet and ride in? More detail in the March SRO. 25 th - 27 th April 2014 Slappers & Trollops Rally Proceeds to the Air Ambulance and other Charities. Held at Breighton Ferry. Nr Selby. No cars. Tickets 15 in adv, 18 otg. Even better, entry is free - just a donation to the Air Ambulance. Held at Fir Park Farm, Fir Park, Market Rasen, LN8 3YL The Riders Branch will be on show at this weekend - Volunteers wanted 3 rd - 5 th May 2014 The Anchor Inn at Friskney Free Camping. Live music. Ride outs and possible hook up with The Fir Park 999 show which is just down the road. Turn up any time Friday afternoon th May 2014 Memorial Run 17 th May 2014 The Cheque Presentation And Camping Weekend The Branch Cheque Presentation for 2014 will be held at: Squires Cafe Bar, Newthorpe Lane, Newthorpe, South Milford, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS25 5LX Friday 16th May - Sunday 18th May 2014 Any Riders wishing to get there on the Friday will have free camping available as long as we get the numbers and we all eat at the café and NOT bring BBQ's and cook our own meals on site, after all it is a business. TICKET BOOKINGS ARE AVAILABLE VIA PAYPAL AT ONLY EACH, & YOU WILL RECIEVE YOUR WRISTBANDS ON YOUR ARRIVAL 1 st June 2014 The Ride of Respect The Founders of the Ride of Respect, The Royal British Legion and The Royal British Legion Riders Branch are delighted to announce that the Ride of Respect 2014 will take place on Sunday, 1st of June 2014, from Dalton Barracks in Oxfordshire. Registration will be available online from Saturday, 12th October We need volunteers for all manner of roles as we will be supporting the Founders and the Unity Support Riders at the Assembly Area at Dalton Barracks and on the Ride itself. In addition, the RBLR will be organising and running the Ride's End Event at Carterton, which will need a number of members to assist here too. If you have any questions about anything to do with the Ride of Respect, please contact Sheepy on chairman@rblr.co.uk Don't forget (and this is brilliant), all funds raised from the Ride of Respect will be credited to the RBLR Poppy Appeal total and will go a long way towards us achieving our 10yr MILLION total, so the more volunteers we get, the more likely we are to make this a massive success and bring in much-needed funds for our Beneficiaries. pect - to register. 21st June 2014 Scunthorpe Armed Forces Day The Scunthorpe Armed Forces day will be held at the Scunthorpe United Football Ground Jack Brownsword Way Scunthorpe North Lincolnshire DN15 8TD We Riders have been invited to take part in the parade and put a stand up to show our bikes etc. 28 th June 2014 AMRR Page 4 of 7

5 28 th June 2014 Market Deeping Armed Forces Day 29 th June 2014 Lincoln Armed Forces Day To be held at somewhere in Lincoln 2 nd July 2014 Barton Bike Night On Wednesday 2nd July 2014 between 5pm - 10pm in Barton Upon Humber Town centre will once again be the venue for this annual Bike Fest in the North Lincolnshire Market town. 5 th & 6 th July 2014 RAF Waddington Air Show Tickets now on sale - 24 upwards, per adult. Who knows, we (Riders) might be invited to help man the RBL stand again Watch this space. 19 th & 20 th July 2014 Woodhall Spa 40s Weekend The Woodhall Spa 40's Festival takes place across the village with numerous events and entertainment throughout the weekend. Entrance is free to the Festival apart from a few specific ticket only concerts. The Riders will be supporting the local RBL Branch so bikes wanted Contact Dave or Frank for more detail. 25 th - 27 th July 2014 The National Rally The Royal British Legion Riders Branch are proud to announce that the 2014 National Rally will take place over the weekend of 25th to 27th July at The Rockbar, Shobnall Sports and Social Club, Shobnall Road, Burton Upon Trent, DE14 2BB Tickets will cost per person (pre-ordered before 1st July) and thereafter and as always are restricted to members and invited guests only (max 2 per member). Entertainment: at least five live bands, silly games, a rally market and a few other surprises. A wide range of catering will also be available both on site and in the local area. We'll also have 24 hour flushing toilets within the camping field and showers are available at a very small cost at the leisure centre next door (currently 1.15 per person). As always we'll be having a fancy dress theme on Saturday evening so time to get F.A.B. and drag out your Joe 90 outfit as we celebrate the work of Gerry Anderson. Tickets will go on sale at the AGM in Oldbury, West Midlands on Saturday 23rd November and will be available to purchase via post and online after the AGM. Please help us out by purchasing your tickets as early as possible.
