2 WELCOME MUSIC RUNNERS A message from our sponsor The Music Run is an un-timed, non-competitive 5km fun run, split into five 1km Music Zones, each representing a different genre of music. Each Music Zone has it s own unique playlist entirely selected by you, our Music Runner community. Pumping out tunes every step of the way with concert quality speakers every 40 meters, The Music Run lets you experience total music immersion while you run, dance, laugh, sing and smile your way to the finish Music Festival! 4 THE MUSIC VILLAGE GETTING TO AND FROM THE EVENT MRT to VivoCity Take the North-East Line or Circle Line and alight at the HarbourFront Station. From there, you may either go to the 3rd level of VivoCity shopping mall, transfer onto the Sentosa Express or you may take a leisurely stroll down the Sentosa Boardwalk. Sentosa Express The Sentosa Express, located at VivoCity (Lobby L, Level 3), provides easy access to Sentosa. All Music Runners can board free of charge, just show your beat band to any member of staff. Alight at the Beach Station, and follow the signs to get to The Music Village. By Taxi Just show your beat band at the gantry entrance to receive free entry onto Sentosa. Ask your taxi driver to head for the Beach Station and then follow the signs to get to The Music Village. By Car A flat gantry admission charge of $2 is applicable to each car entering Sentosa, just show your beat band upon entry. Once on the island, head to the Beach Station car park and then follow the signs to get to The Music Village. Standard parking fees are applicable. Singapore Cable Car To get here, alight at Harbourfront MRT and take Exit B (Harbourfront Centre). Follow directional signs leading to the Singapore Cable Car station at Harbourfront Tower II. 6 IMPORTANT NOTICES Please remember to be EARLY in case of possible transportation delays. Runners arriving after 6 pm will not be allowed to participate in the run. Remember to wear The Music Run T-shirt and Beat Band with your unique runner number. You will not be allowed to enter the Start Zone without these. The Music Run is a rain or shine event. However, in the event of lightning the event will be postponed until it is safe to continue. If you lose something, don t worry, just head over to the Lost & Found, which is located at the Information booth in The Music Village and hopefully you ll find it there. Runners, please keep to the right of the course. Walkers, dancers and participants with strollers or in wheelchairs, please keep to the left. If running with small children, please keep a close eye on them and direct them through the run. Please follow any directions provided by event Officials, Marshals, Volunteers, and Law Enforcement. Above all, please be courteous and respectful to everyone around you. And of course, have an AWESOME TIME! IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES EMERGENCY NUMBERS We have medical support teams located in The Music Village and at the 2.5km mark on The Sound Track. If you are feeling unwell, please look for one of our trained medical professionals at either of these locations. In-case of emergencies.
