We also had the pleasure to meet the President of Rotary International during a Cocktail at Plantation Hotel on 20 th May Congratulations! Vice President Shekhar and Mira became the proud parents of little Angel Yanahita Larah on 24 April Photo Souvenir : Foyer Sans Domicile Fixe Belle Rose - 14 th May The Joint Project of Donation of Tiles, Karcher and Kitchen Utensils was officially celebrated on 14th May 2008 among representatives of CARITAS, Batimex (Mr Mike Höfer - General Manager, Mr Ismael Affejee - Senior Manager and the Interior Designer Didier Ohis) and the Rotary Club of Phoenix members. The Foyer Sans Domicile Fixe is home to some 40 streetdwellers in the region of Quatre Bornes and provides shelter at night to those unlucky men who have either been rejected by the society and/or their family or struck by ill fate. The Rotary Club of Phoenix and Batimex have donated tiles worth Rs 50,000 including installation in the Foyer Bathroom as well as one Karcher and some Kitchen Utensils. The President of the Rotary Club of Phoenix, Ghislaine Perovic, proudly said this year, the theme of Rotary Internatonal is Sharing and we are very happy to make a difference in the lives of the members of the Foyer SDF at Belle Rose. 3 May 30th: Fund Raising Event at Domaine Anna The members of the organizing committee are proud to have met the challenge entrusted to them by the Club to organize a Fund Raising event and what more, exceed the target set initially! Well done to the Organising Committee under the chairmanship of Rtn Leckram. President Ghislaine expresses her satisfaction and pride with the success of Fund Raising event. Well done Team, we raised Rs 224,000! Thank you all for a very special evening, thanks for your participation and for being part of the winning team - a team that matches actions to words : class, style, fun, efficient, effective, friendly, dedicated. Above all thank you all for believing that we can make a difference - and we are good at it. We also wish to thank our ex-rotarians who supported the fund-raising event, namely, Vino, Chandru, Fareed and Vidhu. Our Fund Raising event was also successful thanks to our long list of sponsors.
