2 Bernie s Buzz Welcome back to the club, Jane Nolan. We consider you are a great asset to our club. Thank you to the couple of Rotarians who have booked for our Comedy evening since the meeting Thursday. A further reminder for the tickets for Monica Dullard evening to be paid for by September 13 to allow Bibby to organise the catering. Please keep in mind if anyone is travelling to Melbourne and may be able to offer Marg Gifford a ride to visit Reg who is in hospital in Brunswick. Cheers, Bernie Thursday Night s Meeting Richard Nettleton and partner Yvonne Clarke addressed the club on Thursday night giving those present an overview of their recent Rotary Friendship Exchange trip to Long Island, New York. They very much enjoyed visiting those participants who had come to Euroa back in March. They preceded their RFE trip with a visit to the big state of Texas, which they both loved Stetson hats, stock yards, the Alamo and the JFK museum. Once in New York they were able to check in with Bill and Joan s Sally Sargood for a meal. The enjoyed New York and all the RFE had to offer, a highlight was Sayville (spelling?) Rotary Club where they were welcomed by an enthusiastic rendition of Waltzing Matilda. Richard reports that RFE meetings, 4 a year, are now going to be more widely advertised.
