Precipitation: Dry conditions Outlook Confidence is high for rain and mountain snow to move into central and northern CA on Tuesday with more widespread precipitation across the state on Wednesday and Thursday. The heaviest rain will arrive late Wednesday night into Thursday over northern CA with isolated thunderstorms possible. The heaviest rain over southern CA will be Wednesday and Thursday. Rockslides and mudslides will be possible but confidence is low for any debris flows over recent burn scars in these areas during the heaviest rain period. Snow will impact travel over the Sierra with 1-2 feet possible above 6000 feet.
