Call the Fair office for specific dates, times, and prices at July 1, 2: Mississippi Valley Blues Festival in LeClaire park in Davenport. The Mississippi Valley Blues Festival is the only major blues festival in the country that is produced by an all-volunteer blues society. Come listen to amazing blues and check their facebook page for updates on bands that will be performing during the festival. Returning in July for its 31st year, the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival is set to be held at LeClaire Park in Davenport, Iowa. Blues fans can enjoy a weekend of music by more than 10 acts on Friday and Saturday July 1 and 2, LeClaire Park 400 Beiderbecke Drive Davenport, Iowa July 2: 6:00pm-9:00pm Quad City Raiders VS. Des Moines Blaze at the Charles D. Lindberg Stadium, th St, Rock Island, Illinois. The Quad City Raiders enter their 5 th season playing high-quality physical football for the Quad Cities. With local athletes putting it on the line against the best competition in the Midwest, its always a great time for the entire family. Tuesdays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Saturdays from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm Sundays from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm. Over 100 growers, bakers, crafters, and artisans will have their wares for sale. This is the largest Farmer's Market in the Quad Cities. During the spring, summer and fall the Freight House Farmer's market is held outdoors and indoors. During November through April the Farmer's Market in the Freight House is open indoors. You will find farm fresh fruits, vegetables, delicious baked goods, poultry, beef, lamb, pork, cheese, wine, eggs, honey, jams, jellies, dips and salsas, candy, fresh cut and dried flowers, seeds, bedding plants, annuals and perennials, house plants, amazing art pieces, homemade soaps, doggie treats, beautiful heritage quality crafts, and you could even enjoy a massage from a licensed massage therapist. The offerings change as the seasons do, so you are always sure to find a new treasure to enjoy! July 3, 10, 17: 7:00pm Music On The Levee at Petersen Pavilion, LeClaire Park on River Drive in Davenport. Free outdoor concert. July 3: 6:00pm-10:00pm Red, White, and Boom! Is Rock Island and Davenports annual July 4 th celebration of our countries independence. The bi-state fireworks show will launch from the river with primary viewing areas and family activities located in Rock Island and Davenport on the riverfront. Over 20,000 crowded the Mississippi riverfront for last year s festivities. Enjoy live music on both sides of the river. July 3-10: The new baseball hall of fame tour stops in the Quad Cities first at the number 1Minor League Ballpark in the Country-Modern Woodmen Park, 209 South Gaines St., Davenport. The Hall of Fame Tour is a state-of-the-art traveling baseball experience that brings the game directly to the fans. The collection combines Cooperstown timeless charm-featuring artifacts such as the cap Jackie Robinson wore during the 1955 World Series and the baseball that Babe Ruth hit for his 714 th home run with cutting edge technology. Immerse yourself in the We Are Baseball experience via five mobile exhibit galleries, each of which is teeming with nostalgic elements, iconic images, and interactive experiences to put you in the game. The Celebration Continues: Stop by Cumberland Square, 2300 Spruce Hills Drive for opening ceremonies at 12 noon and the singing of the National Anthem. Amusement rides, Petting Zoo, Petting Zoo Choo Train, -Rock Climbing Wall, Double Land Castle Waterslide, Sports inflatables, bouncers, slides, and obstacle course.

Participants will be led through a variety of stretching and endurance activities to help increase mobility and range of motion while still having fun exercising in the water-these activities are perfect for everyone. The cost is $2.00 per class. The class is for 18 year olds and older. July 9, 23: 1:00pm-2:30pm Meditation Workshop For Spiritual Awareness at the Eastern Avenue Branch library in Davenport. Every week go to explore a new topic and discuss ways to enhance your spiritual growth. All are welcome. No cost. July 9: 7:00pm SCW Wrestling at the Walcott Coliseum, 116 East Bryant Street, Walcott, Iowa. Doors open at 6:30pm and the wrestling starts at 7:00pm. The admission is $8.00 per person. Food is available at cost. July 12: 7:00am Davenport Parks and Recreation is offering a trip to Adventureland for $50.00 for residents of Davenport and $55.00 for non-residents. Fee includes transportation and ticket to Adventureland. Lunch will be on your own-you may bring your own or you may purchase one in the park. They anticipate returning home by 10:00pm. Departure will be from Davenport, Iowa at Tri State s Charter Facility on West 76 th Street. July 13: 6:30pm-8:30pm Leonardo Summer Lawn Concert at the Deere-Wiman House, th St., Moline, Illinois. Leonardo is a Parents Choice award-winning family musician who writes and performs songs that entertain, educate, and empower audiences of all ages and abilities. He delivers a highenergy interactive concert that is a celebration of possibilities. With fun props and a colorful set, his concerts are a pep rally, rock n roll show and beach party rolled into one. This is a free outdoor concert. Take picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs.

July 14-16: 10:00am-9:30pm Walcott Truckers Jamboree in Walcott, Iowa (off of I-80). The Truckers Jamboree is hosted every year at the Iowa 80 Truckstop, I-80 Exit 284, Walcott, Iowa. Since it s inception in 1979, the Truckers Jamboree has been celebrating America s Truckers. This event is a great place to celebrate and learn about trucking and those big rigs. It s our way of saying thank you to the millions of truck drivers that deliver the goods we consume, whether it s groceries, gas, clothes or cars you can bet it was delivered by a truck. July 16: 8:30pm-11:30pm Night Sky Observing With the Popular Astronomy Club at Niabi Zoo Niabi Zoo road, Coal Valley, Illinois. Please join the club after dark in the zoo parking lot for a tour of the Summer Night Sky. The Moon, Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn should be visible. They will also look for Albireo, the blue and gold double star, the coat hanger cluster, the Garnet Star, and other beautiful objects. Club telescopes will be available to look through or bring your own. For weather related updates, please call on July 16 th. Free and family friendly! July 19, 21: 9:00am-10:45am Channel Cat Talk: Making The Mississippi Drinkable 2501 East River Drive, Davenport (Channel Cat Water Taxi). Explore the river through a program which teaches participants first-hand about the wildlife, history, culture, and geology of the Mississippi River and the Quad Cities through Channel Cat Talks and Riverine Walks. Learn about water quality from its Mississippi River source, treatment, and distribution in the Quad Cities with presenter, Brent Earley, Iowa American Water. Register online by visiting or by calling River Action at July 19-23: Rock island County Fair, Archer Drive, East Moline, Illinois. This event showcases products like exhibiting livestock, flowers, produce, and homemade goods. More than 40,000 people enjoy the carnival, live music, lumberjack shows, baby animal barn, and grand stand events. Admission is $10.00 for adults.
5 July 21: 6:00pm-8:30pm Summer Bash at Fejevary Pool Aquatic Center. This awesome summer bash will provide an evening full of dancing, swimming, socializing, and good memories for persons with disabilities and those amazing Journey Of Hope bicyclist traveling across the country raising money and awareness to make a positive impact on the lives of people with disabilities. Dinner is included. Admission is $5.00 and it is payable at the door. July 22: 6:00pm-9:00pm Go on out to the Roosevelt Community Center, 1220 Minnie Ave., Davenport, Iowa for the Friday Night Jam! On the fourth Friday of each month go for pizza, lemonade, board games, open gym, a movie, and Wii games and best of all, it is only $4.00 per person! July 29: 6:00pm-9:00pm Open Air Art Fair at the Bucktown Center For The Arts, 225 East 2 nd Street, Davenport. There will be several artists with tables outside. For more information call July 29, 30: 9:00am-11:55pm Downtown Davenport Street Fest, 331 West 3 rd Street. Davenport. Come and celebrate during downtown Davenport's annual Street Festival, held in conjunction with the Bix 7 Run. Join us for food, live music, arts and crafts, a family fun area, and lots of festival fun! Street Fest is located on 2nd Street between Brady & Ripley in the heart of downtown. July 30: 8:00am Bix 7 Run/Walk At 8 a.m., be sure to participate or watch as over 20,000 competitors participate in the annual Quad-City Times Bix 7 Run/Walk - one of the top ten running events in the United States. Covering seven miles and offering $54,000 in prize money, this race weaves through downtown Davenport and surrounding neighborhoods, adding an element of excitement and athletics to this famous weekend of festivals in the Quad Cities. Elite runners from around the world fly in to compete in this world-renowned event hoping to win cash prizes and two cars offered to the winner of both the men's and women's division. A two-mile Quick Bix is available for people who don't want to go for seven miles. Not to be left out, over 5,000 kids ages 12 and under will run in Alcoa's Jr. Bix on at 6 p.m. the evening before the Bix 7 Run/Walk. In addition, Brady Street Sprint gives qualified participants the opportunity to sprint up the infamous, and very steep, Brady Street hill for a chance at cash prizes.
