12 Directions if Traveling I-65 South: 1. Take I-65 South (Toward Nashville), to the Arthur Street exit (Exit 134). If you reach the Fairgrounds / Watterson Expressway exits, you have gone too far. 2. Continue to the first stop sign, Arthur street and Brandeis Avenue. 3. Turn right onto Brandeis Avenue / Cardinal Boulevard. 4. Turn left onto Floyd Street. 5. The first building on your right is the Student Activities Center. 6. Turn right at the first entrance to the Student Activities Center. 7. This will be a circular drive beside the three-story parking garage. Park in the visitor's lot in the garage. (Do not turn into the garage at the light.) Directions if Traveling I-65 North: (I-65 is accessible from I-71, I-64 and I-264) 1. Take I-65 North (Toward Indianapolis) to the second Eastern Parkway exit (west 133B). 2. There is a stop sign at the end of the exit ramp. 3. Veer right, following the curve around to the traffic light at Eastern Parkway. (Denny's is on the corner). 4. Turn right. 5. Continue on Eastern Parkway until it dead-ends at Third Street. 6. Turn Right. 7. Continue on Third Street to the third traffic light at Cardinal Boulevard. 8. Turn right. 9. Continue on Cardinal Boulevard to the second traffic light. 10. Turn right onto Floyd Street. 11. The first building on your right is the Student Activities Center. 12. Turn right at the first entrance to the Student Activities Center. 13. 16 From Hurstbourne Pkwy: Head north on Hurstbourne Pkwy until you reach Westport Rd. Turn right on Westport Rd. From Westport Rd, turn right onto Freys Hill Rd. E. P. Tom Sawyer Park will be on your right and you will be directed to team parking by the parking attendants. From Newburg Rd & Watterson Expressway (I-264): Take Watterson Expressway East until you reach I-71 N. Merge onto I-71 N and take until you reach the Gene Snyder Expressway (I-265 S/W). Take I-265 S/W to the Westport Rd exit. Turn right off of the exit onto Westport Rd. Turn left on Freys Hill Rd. E. P. Tom Sawyer Park will be on your right and you will be directed to team parking by the parking attendants. From Blankenbaker Pkwy & I-64: Take I-64 E to the Gene Snyder Expressway (I-265), exit # 19B. Merge onto Gene Snyder heading north. Take the Westport Rd exit, exit # 32. Turn right onto Westport Rd off of the exit. Turn left on Freys Hill Rd. E. P. Tom Sawyer Park will be on your right and you will be directed to team parking by the parking attendants. From Watterson Expressway (I-264) & I-64: Take Watterson Expressway East until you reach I-71 N. Merge onto I-71 N and take until you reach the Gene Snyder Expressway (I-265 S/W). Take I-265 S/W to the Westport Rd exit. Turn right off of the exit onto Westport Rd. Turn left on Freys Hill Rd. E. P. Team Parking Southern Entrance (Entering Freys Hill from Evergreen): As you pull into the lot, you will be slowed/stopped by a volunteer and City Police Officer.

17 Team Parking Southern Entrance (Entering Freys Hill from Evergreen): As you pull into the lot, you will be slowed/stopped by a volunteer and City Police Officer. They will direct you to the southern most entrance. Traffic will exit the park to the south to insure no crossover traffic at the parks main entrance. Spectator Parking Northern Entrance (Entering Freys Hills from Westport Rd.): All traffic will be funneled into the Main Entrance (northern and western) into EP Tom Sawyer Park off of Freys Hill Road. Volunteers and City Police will be assisting with the flow of traffic at all times. All vehicles should continue via the northern most lane in the parking lot until they reach the main facility. Spectator parking cost will be $5.00 per vehicle Page 17

20 ANIMALS All dogs must be on a leash at all times. You must pick up after pets and dispose of waste of in a trash receptacle. BANNERS, FLAGS OR SIGNS (SPIRIT) Banners and signs can be brought into park if they, reflect good sportsmanship and do not interfere in any way the course. These decorations, posters, or other materials must in no way damage the facilities and must be removed after the championship. CONCESSIONS Concession tent is located at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park near the finish line and parking area. The concession tent will open 2 hours before the first race. FIRST AID For assistance in any medical emergency, individuals need to go to the medical tent located at the finish line. LOST CHILDREN Parents/guardians with a lost child should contact the announcer to notify them that their child is missing. Measures will be taken to locate the child. If a child gets separated from his/her party, he/she should notify the nearest police or event staff member. RESTROOMS Port-a-johns can be located near the finish line at the edge of the parking lot and also at the starting line. RESULTS Results will be posted following each race on the race result board located near the volunteer tent before the finish line. AWARDS Will be conducted immediately after the men s and women s meets. Page 20

22 Cherokee Park: 745 Cochran Hill Rd., Cherokee Park's main feature is the 2.4-mile Scenic Loop, with separate lanes for vehicle traffic (one-way) and recreational users. One of the original parks designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the park provides a pastoral setting amid rolling hills, open meadows and woodlands of the Beargrass Creek valley. For vehicles on the Scenic Loop (or recreational users moving in the direction of vehicle traffic), the secret to navigating the park is to keep turning left to stay in the park, or keep turning right to leave the park. Amenities: Archery range, Ballfield, Basketball (3), Dog Run (fenced off-leash area), Fishing lake, Grills, Hiking trails, Hogan's Fountain, Horseback riding trails, Horseshoe pit (2), Mountain biking trails, Nettleroth Bird Sanctuary, Picnic shelters (3), Picnic tables, Playgrounds, Restrooms, Scenic Loop (2.4-mile multi-use path), Spray pool, Tennis (2), Walking Path (3) Iroquois Park: 2120 Rundill Rd., (Taylor Boulevard and Southern Parkway) Iroquois Park was planned by Frederick Law Olmsted as a "scenic reservation" of forested hillsides and breathtaking vistas. The park features the WPA-era Iroquois Amphitheater, an open-air theater that was recently remodeled to accommodate 2,407 people. Amenities: Archery range, Basketball (2), Bikeway and walking paths, Disc golf course, Fishing lake, Grills, Hiking trails, Horseback riding trails, Horseshoe pits, Picnic shelters, Picnic tables, Playground/splash play area, Restrooms, Scenic overlooks, Tennis (8), Volleyball, Walking Path (1.6 miles) For more information on other Louisville Parks visit Page 22
