If you arrive after 6:45 P.M., you will be staged for parking in the morning. This is a dry camping lot. There is a 3rd party vendor available for pumping and fills at an additional cost per service. There are no scheduled balloon events this evening so settle in then tour the Anderson-Abruzzo Albuquerque International Balloon Museum. Allow 2 hours. Open 9 A.M. to 5 P.M Balloon Museum Dr. N.E. The balloon museum, which opened in 2005, features one of the world s finest collections of ballooning equipment and memorabilia. It s fitting that it is located in Albuquerque, the capital of ballooning. While the museum celebrates the accomplishments of several New Mexico balloonists, the scope of the balloon museum is international, with a reach that encompasses noteworthy adventures and achievements spanning the history of ballooning. Since the first balloon flight in 1783, hot air and gas balloons have been used for adventure, scientific experiments, the arts, warfare, espionage and space exploration. This story is told throughout the museum in interactive exhibits, historic facts, multi-media presentations and changing exhibits.

On a working ranch that his parents purchased in 1945, Baird has amassed an amazing collection of western cowboy and Anasazi artifacts found on his property. His museums and displays are exceptional, as are the locations he takes you to visit. The highlights for me are the visits to rocks and finally a canyon wall display of some incredible petroglyphs.
