2 Casto Canyon Kick off your ATV adventure with this 36 mile round-trip ride through the other-worldly formations of red hoodoos, pink and white sandstone cliffs, and the ever-deepening greens of the ponderosa pines in Casto Canyon. Like a miniature Bryce Canyon, Casto boasts spires of orange rock, towering high above the canyon walls and surrounded by the forested scents of pine and cedar. All except for 2 miles of fairly technical single-track, this ATV journey is fairly easy to traverse, yet provides riders with rugged terrain through the twists, dips, and sharp turns of Utah s rocky desert landscape. Casto Canyon provides nearly a full day s worth of sightseeing. Riders should allow for up to 5 hours for this trip. The trail provides many spots for photo opts and plenty of vistas points. Don t forget to bring lunch, as there are many spectacular stops to refuel, including Peterson Point (a must see). Skill Level Intermediate. Directions: From downtown Panguitch head south along Hwy 89 toward first dirt road on the left. From Hwy 12 head east toward Red Canyon and take the exit for Loose and Casto Canyon on the left (north)side of the freeway. Bathrooms are available at trail head. Gates limit vehicles to 50 in width. Day 1&2 Casto Canyon/Pole Hollow/Sandy Peak Loop

3 Sandy Peak Loop: For a more diverse variety of scenery, take the 30 mile round-trip trail through the rocky, sage brushed and shallow water crossings of Sandy Peak Loop. Ride through dense forest, open skies, and breathtaking vistas. Plan for rocky terrain and sleep climbs. Side-by-sides are authorized and this trail has no restrictions. Trail begins and ends in Panguitch. Skill Level Intermediate. Pole Hollow: The scenic Pole Hallow provides riders with another day trip along a 26 mile long stretch that begins in downtown Panguitch. Enjoy high mountain vistas through the rocky summit before dipping into the low brush of Little Valleys Road. Pole Hollow trail heads West to Five Mile Ridge before summiting and looping back into town. Bring a camera as there are plenty of viewpoints to take pictures. Allow 3 ½ hours including lunch. 4 Pass Creek Loop On day three take a more relaxed and scenic route through quaking aspen forest and ancient lava beds of Pass Creek Loop. This 27 mile, dusty ride (goggles suggested) provides riders with amble scenery and plenty of stops along the way for sightseeing and picture taking. Plan for about an hour (from town to trail point) and four hours to explore this mystical ATV ride (this includes time for lunch). Side-byside vehicles are authorized. Skill Level Beginner Directions: Riders must trailer ATV s up SR 143 (Panguitch Lake Road) to the Hatch Mountain turnoff near Panguitch Lake. 5 Badger Creek/Kings Creek Loops/Tropic Reservoir Badger Creek Loop: For an ATV adventure rich in greenery, spend a day traversing this 20 mile trail full of high mountain meadows and thick, shaded forest canopies. The views from Badger Creek Loop are legendary; cameras and time for viewing are essential. Most riders allow around 3 hours for this round-trip ride, starting from Tropic Reservoir (including time for lunch). Although there are no trail restrictions, there are locations along the trail where side-by-sides will not fit through the terrain. Skill Level Intermediate Kings Creek Loop: Combine your Badger Creek adventure with this high mountain range trail that provides riders with a profoundly majestic experience and bird s eye view of Utah s deep canyon wonders. Enjoy this ride in just two hours, but be sure to consider about one and a half hours of traveling to and from the reservoir. There are no vehicle restrictions on this trail. Riders must trailer their ATV s 25 miles to Tropic Reservoir near Bryce Canyon National Park, via US 89 and Scenic Highway 12 for both trails. 6 Day 6 Powell Point End your ATV adventures with the ultimate grand finale of scenic sites the colossal vista of Powell Point. Many travelers describe Powell Point as a meeting point between earth and heaven, with the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument acting as the gateway amid two ascending worlds. When viewed from afar, one writer described this majestic view of Table Cliff Plateau (northeast of Bryce Canyon National Park), as resembling the bow of an ocean liner crashing through a sea of white-, pink-, and salmon-hued breakers. This stunning vista is a must-see. Skill Level - Intermediate Directions: Powell Point is located approximately 55 miles from downtown Panguitch. Riders will trailer their ATV s to the staging area and trail-head at Pine Lake. Take US 89 South from Panguitch to SR12 East through Red Canyon. Turn left on Johns Valley Road at the Bryce Canyon Turnoff (SR63). Take Johns Valley Road approx. 15 miles and turn right at the Pine Lake Turnoff. Roads are clearly marked.
