INTRODUCTION Turkey will warmly welcome the Ministers and Delegates to inauguration ceremony of the 87 th İZMİR International Fair (IEF) and İzmir Business Days to be held in Izmir on September 5-7, This information circular provides logistical and other general information about the arrangements for the 87 th Izmir International Fair and Izmir Business Days. Please note that there may be amendments to this document. B. ARRIVALS, DEPARTURES AND DRAFT PROGRAM The official program will run between 5 and 7 of September. Delegations are expected to arrive from Tuesday, 4 September 2018 onwards. Official inauguration of the Fair will be on Friday, 7 September A draft program is attached. Please note that we will try to accommodate the requests from the Delegations about the program as much as possible. The program is formed, taking into account the guest Ministers and delegations, and it may change until the event date. Besides Ministerial meetings, various seminars and/or workshops, Turkey aims to use the allocated period as much as possible to ensure networking of the delegations with the Turkish business community. This includes G2B meetings as well. Interested delegations will be able to hold briefing sessions on the business, trade and investment climate and opportunities in their countries. Delegations who wish to do so are encouraged to get in touch with Turkey's Ministry of Economy as soon as possible through diplomatic channels in a timely manner. This year, for the delegations arriving from Africa, Turkey is aiming to host a business session on the trade and investment developments in Africa. This session will be held on 6 September 2018, starting at 14:30. The interested Ministers and high level participants from African countries may join and brief the participants about their countries' economy. For the delegations, there will be a briefing session on Turkey, its economy, industrial capacity and business opportunities. We hope to host all Ministers and high level guests at this event. C. ACCOMMODATION Swissotel Büyük Efes Izmir is the designated hotel and venue for the 87 th Izmir International Fair. Turkey's Ministry of Economy will be pleased host the delegations for four nights from 4 September 2018 until 8 September Hotel check in time is 14:00 pm and check out time is 11:00 am. Those delegations arriving earlier may need to wait for the room to get ready. 3

4 Complimentary accommodation is full board (except private expenses, like dry cleaning, ironing, international phone calls services, or any other private expenses). In case, the delegations wish to make arrangements for accommodation at a different hotel, or to stat a longer period of time, they are welcome to do so. But, such delegations are expected to be responsible for all arrangements and expenses. Turkey's Ministry of Economy may help with such arrangements. D. VENUE Inauguration ceremony of the 87 th IEF will be held in the fair gounds. All information regarding meeting schedules can be obtained thru coordination office.» Bilateral Rooms: A meeting room will be available from 5 September to 7 September for the delegations willing to hold bilateral meetings with their Turkish counterparts or with other Delegates.» Information Desk: There will be an information desk at the lobby of Swissotel Büyük Efes Izmir to assist delegates throughout their stay in Izmir.» Lunch: Lunch will be provided for delegates between 04 and 07 September 2018.» Dinner: Dinner will be provided for delegates between 04 and 07 September

5 » Prayer Rooms: Prayer rooms will be available for delegates throughout the meeting. E. CONTACTS 5.1. Delegation Contact Officer (DCO) Each delegation is requested to appoint a Delegation Contact Officer (DCO). The DCO should be present throughout the meetings and related events. Не/She will be the first point of contact that the Turkish IEF team will approach for any administrative or logistical issues Liaison Services Turkey's Ministry of Economy will also appoint a Liaison Officer for each delegation, who will accompany and assist the delegations during the entire meetings on any administrative or logistical issues. The contact information of liaison officer will be sent via , prior to delegations arrival. For your questions, concerns and requests, please contact the Ministry of Economy via diplomatic channels. F. ACCREDITATION 6.1. Delegate Accreditation Each delegates will have the badge. The badges will be given during hotel check in. G. TRANSPORT All the accredited delegates will be provided with transport from the Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport to the Swissotel Büyük Efes Izmir (about 20 km), and on departure from the Swissotel Büyük Efes Izmir to the Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport between September 4-8, Please note that delegates travelling outside of these dates needs to make their own arrangements for transportation services. All Heads of Delegations will be offered a designated vehicle upon arrival to Izmir. H. GENERAL INFORMATION 8.1. İzmir The pearl of the west, is Turkey's third largest city and one of the most important port cities. It has a great nature and a rich historical and cultural heritage. Also known as Old Izmir, Smyrna, built on an islet of hundred acres flourished into a great center of civilization over time. 6 8.2. Climate Izmir is under the effect of the Mediterranean climate. The summer is hot and dry whereas the winter is mild. Same time zone is used all over the country Electricity Supply The electricity supply in Turkey is 220 volts AC 50 cycles.
