2 CONFERENCE VENUE The Conference will take place at the conference centre of the 4* Hotel Crown Plaza Vilnius (address: Crowne Plaza Vilnius M. K. Ciurlionio 84 Vilnius/Lithuania, LT-03100, phone: +370 (5) ; The Conference will start with registration and welcome coffee at 08:30. The accommodation and catering will be provided at the same hotel. Central location of the Crowne Plaza Vilnius hotel makes you perfect possibilities either you are exploring city sites or need to relax in safe and healthiest part of the town at the border of the most popular public park of the city Vingis park. The most important city events are held there. Hotel is within the easy access to the Vilnius International airport and the main train station. ACCOMMODATION AND TRAVEL EXPENSES The organisers of the Conference will cover travel and accommodation expenses for high level representative and one expert per country/organisation. Other participants shall organise their travel arrangements and cover associated expenses themselves. Our travel agency will contact you directly regarding your travel to Vilnius and accommodation. We kindly request the participants whose accommodation and travel expenses will be covered by the organisers to bring the boarding passes to the Conference registration desk. Please note that only the accommodation and flight tickets booked by the organisers will be covered. In case you may choose to stay at the other hotel at your own expense, please kindly inform the organisers. 2

3 LANGUAGE OF THE CONFERENCE The Conference will be held in English. ACCREDITATION OFFICIAL DINNER Your badge will be issued at the Conference registration desk at the hotel before the start of the Conference ( from 08:30). We kindly request you to wear your badge during the entire Conference and Official Dinner. CONNECTION FROM VILNIUS AIRPORT Vilnius International Airport (VNO) is located on the outskirts of Vilnius. The distance between the airport and the Conference venue is about 5.7 km. For all participants of the conference organisers will provide shuttle service from Vilnius International Airport (VNO) to the hotel Hotel Crown Plaza Vilnius on 24 April and from the hotel Hotel Crown Plaza Vilnius to Vilnius international Airport (VNO) on 26 April. Upon arrival the representative of the organisers will welcome you at the airport. In case you may wish to make your own transportation arrangements, we kindly advise you to use the taxi. Public transport There are 2 public transport routes from Vilnius airport which allow delegates to reach the city centre from the airport: Public bus No. 88 and express bus 3G. The bus stop is located across the road from the main arrival hall of the airport. Both routes pass Vilnius centre. Timetables and routes of buses can be found in mobile application: trafi.com. Taxi The taxi line is located in front of the airport arrival hall. The price of the travel from Vilnius International Airport to the city centre is depending on the company and the time of the day. More taxi options are available with mobile applications: taxify.eu, uber.com, taxi.lt, etaksi.lt. 3

4 OFFICIAL DINNER On 25 April 2019 all participants of the Conference will be invited to the Official Dinner at Pirklių klubas (19:00-21:00). Pirklių klubas business and modern meeting centre is located in the centre of Vilnius on Gediminas Avenue. Pirklių klubas has got a hundred years history in background. Just like one hundred years ago, today Pirklių klubas fascinates by its original architecture and subtle luxury. The organisers will provide shuttle service from the hotel Hotel Crown Plaza Vilnius to the Official Dinner. USEFUL LINKS AND INFORMATION Electricity Lithuania has 220V and uses two-pin plugs. Currency The currency of Lithuania is Euro (EUR). All major credit cards are widely accepted and ATM/cash machines are widely available in Vilnius city. Weather In Lithuania, a flat country overlooking the Baltic Sea, the climate is semi-continental, with freezing winters and mild and moderately rainy summers. 4

5 In spring, the temperature gradually increases, even though the weather remains cold for a few weeks; April is typically a cold month, and especially in the first half there's still some chance of snow and frost, while in the second half the first warm days are possible, brought by southerly winds. In April the weather in Lithuania is variable. Average temperatures range from +6 to + 10 C, rainfall or partly cloudy is likely. Languages Lithuanian is the official language of the Republic of Lithuania. English and Russian are widely spoken. Local Time Lithuanian Time is GMT+2 Smoking Smoking is prohibited in all indoor public locations.
