Has the individual shown an interest in the program activity or subject matter? Is he/she comfortable and able to function appropriately, with or without assistance, in inclusive environments (malls, restaurants, parks, etc.)? What Are Therapeutic Recreation Programs For Individuals With Disabilities? The Prince George s County Department of Parks and Recreation offers alternative choices (for Prince George s County residents only) through its provision of specialized therapeutic recreation activities for individuals with disabilities. Patrons have a wide range of abilities and special needs; some prefer and benefit from participating in specialized programs designed specifically for participants with disabilities.
