It was attended by a large group of nice people with great cars. The Hutchinson s with their committee did a fine job. Did you attend the Swap Meet and check out our booth? Jim and Jeff put together a really nice display and it got a lot of attention from the public. It was great PR for our club. We are on a roll with our club activities. Next is our annual potluck picnic. Bring your cars, bring your food and let s have a good time. And, sign up for the Can-Am tour. 3 Seen, Heard & Shared Welcome our Club's Newest Member! On July 16, 2016 Erik & Rebecca Hutchinson welcomed their first child, a happy healthy baby girl, Miette Gloria Louise Hutchinson, 7lbs, 20"! Mom and Baby are doing well. Be sure to congratulate the new trio. Special photo edition of the Fender Chatter We had a lot of club activity the past month, but are limited to only 10 printed pages. Tweety Bird Reborn Getting a make-over just in time for the Montana 500 August T Club Picnic Meeting: The annual Model T Club picnic is being held at Lee & Candi Burgess' home, 1109 N. Felts in Spokane Valley on Friday. Aug. 5th at 5:30 PM. The club will supply burgers, hot dogs, buns, condiments,paper plates, plastic ware, and a grill. Friday, July 1 st Saturday, July 2nd Sunday, July 3rd Flashy Chassis Tour Recap We had 49 Flashy Chassis carrying 110 people on the 4th of July Rotational Tour.

In between, we saw some beautiful scenery, ate some delicious food, and watched as some awesome ice cream was made for us at Comstock Park.

We only had one minor mechanical incident, which was solved by Gene Kicha's Roadside Carburetor Rebulding Service. The People's Choice Award went to Ron and Linda Moon in their 1927 Moon Roadster.

8 Friday, July 1 st Saturday, July 2nd Sunday, July 3rd Flashy Chassis Tour Recap We had 49 Flashy Chassis carrying 110 people on the 4th of July Rotational Tour. Over the course of the weekend we toured the Dry Fly Distillery, the Lost Dutchman Museum in Fairfield, and the Studebaker Garage in Harrington. In between, we saw some beautiful scenery, ate some delicious food, and watched as some awesome ice cream was made for us at Comstock Park. Best of all, this tour is a chance to see friends that we don't get to visit with often enough. We only had one minor mechanical incident, which was solved by Gene Kicha's Roadside Carburetor Rebulding Service. The People's Choice Award went to Ron and Linda Moon in their 1927 Moon Roadster. The oldest car on tour was Paul and Hilde Gettinger's 1919 Ford Touring 3-Door. And our youngest driver was 16-year-old Max Kelsey driving a 1967 Ford Galaxie XL Convertible. Model T Club members on the tour were Montana Bernard, Rick & Carla Carnegie, Chuck & Sandy Dyer, Gene & Carol Kicha, Matt & Maggie Hanson with grandson Tristan, Don & Rita Hart, Dave & Mary Sandberg, Gator & Lorena Waldron, and the committee members and their families: Tom & Susie Carnegie, Erik & Rebacca Hutchinson, Nan Robison with friend Karma Roth, Larry & Norma Skidmore, and Mike & Jackie Stormo with granddaughter Libby. Special thanks to Joanne Jepperson for coming to help set-up on Friday, to Chuck Dyer for driving our sweep vehicle, and to Lee and Candy Burgess for coming out to take photographs. If the July tour was any indication, September's Can-Am tour promises to be a lot of fun and we hope to see some local T's. A note regarding the future of the 4th of July Tour... Herb Mettler from the Walla Walla club announced that their attendance at meetings is down to about 14 people, and that they could no longer host the July tour. We met briefly with Pat Emerich from the Lewiston Crankers Club and agreed that we would like to see this tradition continue, but that it's a lot of work to be done every other year. Pat is going to present this issue to the Crankers Club, and they will decide if they can put on a July tour next year. At some point, we will need to discuss trying to find a third club to join the rotation, reformatting the tour, or whether we can continue having July tours at all. We have had some suggestions from the people on this year's tour, and would welcome yours. 9 Our Club Booth at the 2016 Spokane Swap Meet The Spokane Swapmeet was a huge success and our T Club booth helped make it even more attractive We had a very good response to our booth with many new large Model T advertising posters and banners placed throughout the booth to attract literally hundreds of interested people into spending a few minutes with us to allow us to tell our stories about our favorite cars. Thanks, Jeff Hipp, for your help on the imagery. Lee Burgess did a spectacular job polishing up his one-hundred year old 1916 Model T Touring, taking it far beyond "showroom" condition. After spending over three days polishing it, he still wasn't satisfied with the looks of his brass radiator, so he proceeded to remove it from the car to hand polish every square inch possible. The results were beautiful and stunning. It would have undoubtably won in competiitive showing had he entered it for judging! Many thanks to all those who helped produce, set up, and man this year's booth! Your efforts were noticed and appreciated!!
