You will also see some of the oldest known copies of the Hebrew Bible, also known as the Old Testement. Upon arriving at the Center we will first see the IMAX 3D movie Jerusalem. This documentary on the sacred Middle Eastern City is still beloved by half of the world s population. It took over 3 years to produce and provides the historical and cultural context for the exhibit. Lunch is on your own. Bring a picnic lunch or enjoy their new café. A Master, China s Picasso, The People s Artist. All of these prestigious titles belong to one man, Qi Baishi. Regardless of which title precedes him, Qi Baishi is widely regarded as the most well-known and influential Chinese modern artist. China Modern Master features over 40 of the artist s paintings, seal carvings and woodworks, all of which have never before been seen outside of China. These works exemplify the celebrated way in which Qi Baishi employed traditional Chinese style and technique in tandem with modern individualism and expression. This exhibition is on loan from the Hunan Provincial Museum in Changsha, China. We will be having lunch at Café China before our timed docent led tour at the museum.
