2 Hello Carmen Roses. Note from the Chairman I hope you enjoyed your summer, and are now ready for another fun filled season with all your friends in the Carmen Chapter. Michela and Susan have sent out information on the membership dues for that are due by September. What a great honor to be voted Chapter of the Year by the Guilds last season. Well deserved!! I have never met a more deserving group of hard working fun loving woman. Our first meeting will be September 7 at Ruby s Diner in Orange and then a trip to the Hilbert Museum down the street. I hope to see you there. This is a great time to invite potential new members to our meeting to see what we do. If you need a ride, please call me. Many of us car pool together to the meetings. Its been a busy summer. Informally Yours and Summer at the Center were great, A large group of us took a bus to the Reagan Library. Now, we are looking forward to Broadway in the Park towards the end of August, We still have openings for The Malibu Getty trip in October. The form is attached, just fill it out and send it to Susan Kinkade. We also have put together great monthly meeting programs with some new adventures and exciting trips. I hope you enjoy them. Don t forget: Thursday September 8th, The Guilds Membership Event at the Mesa Verde Country Club. There is no charge this year, all you need to do is bring a friend and RSVP. Mail it in or me. I hope to see you there. We need everyone's help as The Guilds are losing over 100 members a year. Regards, Pat Faust Carmen Chairman CARMEN CHAPTER PROGRAMS DATE LOCATION PROGRAM SEPTEMBER 7 Orange Hilbert Museum & lunch at Ruby s OCTOBER 5 Malibu Getty Villa Museum Malibu NOVEMBER 2 Rogers Garden Seminar and lunch DECEMBER 14 Onotria Holiday Luncheon JANUARY 4 Gayle Jones home Lunch & Presentation by Gayle on Israel FEBRUARY 1 Corona Del Mar or South Coast Chico's Fashion show & lunch FEBRUARY The Duck Club- Mardi Gras West Area Fundraiser MARCH 1 Joan Lutz home Pot Luck & Speaker on Safety APRIL 5 Mayu Silk Art Westminster Silk Scarf Art & lunch MAY 3 Loretta's home Trash to Treasures/Cinco De Mayo lunch JUNE 7 Mesa Verde Country Club Installation of Officers
