We ll start our tour with a relaxing drive to Encinitas, the flower capital of San Diego County. We ll spend the morning at Weidner s Gardens where the poinsettias line the driveway & fill the greenhouses. A garden docent will join the group for a demonstration & other information about growing poinsettias. You ll have plenty of time to visit the retail greenhouse store where you can purchase fresh poinsettias to take home. After Weidner s, we ll travel north to the Balboa Peninsula where you ll be treated to lunch at the Harborside Restaurant, overlooking Newport Harbor. After lunch we ll visit Roger s Gardens for a stroll through the nursery to see the annual Christmas Fantasy display of themed Christmas trees. It s a great place to pick up the perfect wreath or a unique gift for someone special on your list.
