3 State Director s Message - Nancy Burbage Another camping season is about to get under way. As I write this in Florida, it is cold here, but looking at weather for Delaware and Maryland, it is better than home where it is really cold. First, I would like to comment on Bobby Robinson. He has had a valve replaced in his heart at 86 years old. He had been sick since September when he was taken to Peninsula Hospital, and then to Beebe for 8 days in December before we left for Florida. The doctor said that the sunshine would be good. Little did we know that the pneumonia that he had experienced was caused by the heart valve. (Guess the doctor did not know it either.) I have appointed Eric and Sheila Griffith as Assistant State Directors. I know that they will bring new ideas to the State Association. Please give them your support. I look forward to working with them. They have a positive attitude for camping and the FCRV. I look forward to a very successful spring campout. Remember this was set as you voted at the meeting. Friday night will be a covered dish. Saturday night will be a covered dish with the State furnishing the meat. I will be working on that as the campout gets closer. Time to get those campers out of storage and ready for spring. Happy Traveling, Nancy Notes from Editor - Glenn Michael Ah!! It s March and time for our spring newsletter. It has not been a kind winter. The temperatures and precipitation though winter like, have not been our customary. Even the folks in Florida haven t had it all that great, though they haven t endured the single digits. As you can read, and most likely have heard, there have been some health issues with the snow bird group. Gloria had issues last year while in the south and this year it is Bobby and Bill. As of this writing, all seem to be on the mend. That s good news. So, with all this weather and ills behind us it is now time to get your rigs de-winterized and back on the road. The low gas isn t going to hold. We knew that. Hopefully though the fuel might stay a bit less than last year. The Campout Schedule is in this issue, but is not completely detailed. I have pulled out the camping schedule and listed it separately. There will be changes coming. Stay tuned. Northeast Regional CO reservation form is included. 3

6 2015 Camping Schedule This list of campouts is not inclusive, nor complete. There could be many changes. It is provided here as extracted from the minutes of September 2014 with some alterations. We usually list the MD/DC State Campouts with our listings, but they weren t included in the minutes, thus were not on the list. I have added them to the list here as an option. With all states getting so small in number, we can at least share the camping information and perhaps some will be able to swell the numbers of our neighbors. Reciprocal by all would be nice too. 7 This FCRV stuff is more FUNNER than Snow!!! Come On...Spring! Yes, it looks like we eat a lot. Fact is -we do! Actually, while we do place a high premium on our meals at the campouts, we do more than eat. I just happened to have these photos handy. Sometimes the meals are covered dish, but sometimes we head out to a local eatery. Sometimes we play. Sometimes we work. Sometimes we sit. There are always - SIT TIMES! shovel some of the many snow falls we have had this winter. We remember Madison as a small baby and now she looks like she can handle that shovel. Now, wouldn t it be wonderful to have the enthusiasm of Madison Mitchell. Her father sent this photo showing her ready and willing to get out there and 7
