3 Page 3/10 December Brunch with Barry-Disney Resort-December 14, Hi everyone, This month 38 SCC members caravanned to the Vero Beach Disney Resort. We have been doing the December BwB at Disney for many years. Disney is beautifully decorated, featuring a huge Christmas tree in the lobby. This year we had a 2nd floor ocean view room. Food was good as usual and we finished off the visit with a nice group photo by the tree. Several first time members attended. Welcome. Plan on joining us in for an exciting place for BwB. So, until then, Great Friends, Great Cars, Life is Good. Dick Kesler for Barry Bracken Photo submitted by Dick Kesler

Eight SCC members representing the club ventured down to Lake Worth to see what the Wreath's Across America is all about. As we neared the South Florida National Cemetery, cars were parked along the main road because the cemetery parking lot was already full. We were over a half mile from the Cemetery. Cars were parked on both sides of the highway. We arrived at the entrance and the police motioned for us to keep going because the lot was full. It had been raining off and on so we didn't want to be that far from the entrance. We continued down the road for another half mile, and still no available parking. We abandoned our idea of participating and decided to go straight to Benny's on The Beach. There were thousands of people at the Wreath's Across America, but without us. Our lunch was VERY GOOD at Benny's. We all had a good time despite the failure to participate. This will not be an annual happening for the Club.

An example of the aftermath that can accrue by using the wrong antifreeze is: the GM Dexcool formula works best in systems that are designed for it. But in older style radiators with lead soder it eats out the radiator because the inhibitors work too slowly to protect against the corrosion that happens so fast. It actually erodes the metal not only in the radiator but in the water pump as well! So, make sure you use the required antifreeze in your Corvette. Disney wanted to start us off at 11:00. We were a little early so we talked and looked around for 15 minutes. We had fruit, potato's, bacon, sausage, Mickey Mouse waffles, and made to order egg omelets and cinnamon rolls. All kinds of drinks too. After breakfast we took our yearly picture on the steps by the Christmas tree. We had some new members there for the first time and they were impressed. 9 Page 9/10 WALLACE CHEVROLET CLUB SPONSOR The Stuart Corvette Club is proud to announce that Wallace Chevrolet in Stuart is our sponsor. We appreciate the support and sponsorship they have been giving our club. During the year, Wallace Chevrolet will contribute to S.C.C. car shows, Toys for Tots and River Cruise-In. Without their support our ability to donate to local charities and fulfill the services that we provide to our members would be greatly diminished. For NEW CAR SALES our contact people are: MARK ADAMS General Manager cell # ED VOSSEN Salesman for the Corvette Club cell # They will see that we get the BEST DEAL possible on ALL the Wallace dealership cars. Last year WALLACE was ranked # 66 out of over 3000 Corvette dealers across the nation. For PARTS and SERVICE our Club specialist is: DON HAMILTON ext direct # We will receive a 20% discount on Mechanical Parts for all GM cars. Normal maintenance like Oil changes and Tires are not included. Rick Saxner will be our Liaison between our Club and Wallace Chevrolet. Tom Herr is the Board contact person. Mark Adams has offered their NEW DEALERSHIP LOCATION for future Club events with prior approval.
10 Page 10/10 SCC Looking for a Car Show Chair As you know we host two car shows a year, namely Toys for Tots in early December and our Annual Corvette River Cruise-In in late April. Both shows result in net proceeds that allow the Club to donate to area charities. Toys for Tots is an obvious recipient and our current charity partners Martin County Council on Aging, Treasure Coast Hospice and Treasure Coast Food Bank receive proceeds generally generated by the spring show. We have a Car Show Committee of about SCC members who include task chairs and volunteers in a myriad of activities that make our show an annual success. John Hosler has been Car Show Chair for the last 8 years and is looking for a replacement. John will be Show Chair for show but is looking to be replaced. The position coordinates all the activities of the show and activities start before the first Car Show Committee Meeting normally held before the Board Meeting and this year it will be 23. The Chair does not do all the work but it does involve coordinating all the activities and efforts of various chairs and making sure that all the things our show is known for get done as well as communicating to those who have registration questions plus sending out confirmation to interested parties and many other items. John Hosler has a comprehensive spreadsheet and book and will sit down with anybody who might be interested would involve some shadowing John and working the show to see how it all evolves. His cell is and is jchosler@hotmail.com. Regards, Dick Kesler President Stuart Corvette Club
