Along with the season changing from summer to fall we are going through changes here at the Center. We are happy that our new activities director will start on September 4th. Our new hours for the center will be Monday through Thursday 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. Many renovations have been completed and we still have a few more things we would like to complete. We will also be adding some new programs, crafts and other opportunities for you to take part in at the Center. Please continue to share your ideas with us so we can make our center the best it can be for our members. SHUFFLEBOARD Please look at the calendar for dates to come and play shuffleboard as our new addition to the center. The Shuffleboard will be housed in the front card room and we will schedule playing times around card games in this area. The board will also offer equipment that you can set up to play bowling and we are waiting for those items to be delivered. Please thank Jim Cain and his many friends who donated the funds to obtain this equipment for the center. Their generosity in supporting the center has been overwhelming and we can t thank them enough. SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL SENIOR CENTER MONTH SENIOR CENTERS: BUILDING MOMENTUM GROWING/LEARNING/GIVING/CONNECTING In honor of National Senior Center Month we will be doing a community service project to show our Seniors make a difference in their community every day. We will be doing a canned food drive to help our town s food pantry. Each time a member brings in a donation for the food pantry, we will place your name in the basket and will have a drawing for a $25.00 Gift Card on September 27th at 12:15 pm.
