And then they forget or lose them! Whilst some groups do run their raffles over an extended period, our suggestion is short is sweet : give your supporters a four (4) week selling period, with your draw two (2) weeks later to allow you to follow up on those who have not returned their monies or books on time. 4 BEST RAFFLE AND BOOK SIZE FOR YOUR GROUP ADDITIONAL BOOKS If your raffle is going better than expected, we can print extra books. There is a minimum cost of $200 because of all the set up costs on the printing presses. We will work with you to structure the best raffle book size and destination for your group. We have nineteen (19) year s experience with raffle fundraising and will put together a low break even cost in order to maximise your profit. Selling another books will give you an additional profit of $1,200 - $2,000 which well and truly covers the extra cost. PERMITS Permits are not required in SA (for prizes under $5,000), QLD, NSW and TAS for the raffles on offer. A permit is required for WA, and may be required for ACT depending on the raffle you will be running. Most customers will have some extra books printed with their original order as the cost is only $1.50 per book. BOOKS OF TWENTY (20) OR TEN (10) TICKETS A Declaration Number is required for VIC and is valid for any further raffles over the next ten (10) years from the issue date. Our costs are based on books of twenty (20) tickets. We can supply books of ten (10) however there will be an added cost. We will assist you with any applications. We suggest you issue books of twenty (20) tickets to your supporters. Nearly twenty years of results shows groups selling twenty (20) ticket books make significantly greater profits than those who issue books of ten (10) tickets.
