2 Letter from the GM of Tourism Whitsundays We are very pleased to launch our prospectus for the 2018/19 Whitsunday Visitor Guide, which is produced every year as an important awarenessraising tool for the region. With a total of 60,000 copies distributed in Australia and overseas to consumers and travel agents, it is also a very important tool in encouraging visitation to the Whitsundays. The guide is also given to guests once they are in region, with every passenger arriving at the Whitsunday Coast Airport and transferring with various bus companies receiving a copy of the guide with their ticket. This helps visitors plan their activities while here. The 2018/19 Visitor Guide will increase by 8 pages due to the region s overwhelming popularity as the holiday destination of choice The guide provides up-to-date information on the wide range of activities and experiences available, with the printed version backed up by a phone version. The phone-friendly Whitsunday Visitor Guide can be viewed quickly and easily on smart phones, increasing its reach. Following last year s focus on bigger, impactful imagery, we are keen to include even more great content this year to ensure people visit the website for more information and to book. As well as full-page advertising spots, there are also spots available in the comprehensive directory at the back of the guide (all advertising will be in an advertisers section). Please find enclosed the rate card for the 2018/19 edition and we look forward to your strong support of the guide through advertising. It is recognised by Tourism and Events Queensland and Whitsunday Regional Council as the lead agency responsible for destination marketing and visitor attraction. Tourism Whitsundays is an industry driven, membership-based organisation that works with stakeholders and its members to grow the local tourism industry. 3 As a Tourism Whitsundays member you are entitled to a listing or advert as per the table. Non Tourism Whitsundays members are not eligible to advertise in the Visitor Guide. If you are not a financial member at the time this Visitor Guide goes to print, then you will be invoiced the full rate for the size of your placement. If you cancel your membership throughout the 17/18 financial year you will be invoiced the full rate for advertising. What is the investment? 5 Advertising terms and conditions All advertising costs will be billed by Tourism Whitsundays, with monies payable to Tourism Whitsundays. Payment in full will be due 14 days from invoice date. I, the advertiser: Indemnify interactivink and TW from any legal action that may arise from this advertisement and declare that the copyright of all items supplied for the preparation of this advertisement is released and I take full responsibility if a breach of copyright occurs. Understand and agree that changes to my advertisement after the first proof may incur an additional charge to have it changed. Agree that TW retain the right to maintain creative control over all advertisements and copy. Agree that no advertisement shall contain any negative selling strategy. Am in a position to guarantee that the fees for advertising as outlined will be paid by the due date and understand that I am, or my company is, liable to prosecution on default. Understand that advertisements will not run if not paid in full 14 days from the invoice date. Agree that all advertisement cancellations must be received in writing prior to 30 June Any cancellations after this date will be charged in full. Understand that although all due care is taken, in the event of an error or omission of advertising, the publisher s liability is limited to a full refund of any money paid for that particular advertisement. Agree to maintain my current financial membership with Tourism Whitsunday for the life of the brochure and its distribution (June 2018 June 2019). Should I not renew my membership in June 2017, the value of my membership benefit advertisement is payable. Agree that display advertising rates do not include production of artwork.
