That the Regional Board onfirm their onsent of the following ations that were undertaken in onjuntion with the wildfire event that began on May 15, May 15, 2016 Delaration of State of Loal Emergeny Eletoral Area B May 15, 2016 Evauation Order Beatton Airport Road BACKROUND/RATIONALE: The Emergeny Operations Centre (EOC) was re-ativated on Sunday, May 15, 2016, to respond to a flare up from the Beatton Airport Road Fire (#800046). In order to effetively respond to the wildfire, Administration used messaging to seek onsent from the Board to take appropriate ation. This report is presented to the Board to onfirm onsent as part of the publi reord. OPTIONS: 1. That the Regional Board onfirm their onsent of the following ations that were undertaken in onjuntion with the wildfire event that began on May 15, That the Board provides further diretion to Administration. 2 Delaration of State of Loal Emergeny ELECTORAL AREA B WEREAS wildfire and interfae fire is ourring in the Peae River Regional Distrit; AND WEREAS there is a danger to property and people in Eletoral Area B of the Peae River Regional Distrit; AND WEREAS this emergeny requires prompt oordination of ation or speial regulation of persons or property to protet the health, safety or welfare of people or to limit damage to property; NOW TEREFORE: IT IS EREBY ORDERED pursuant to Setion 12 (1) of the Emergeny Program At (RSBC, 1996, Chap 111) that a state of loal emergeny exists in the eletoral area of B in the Peae River Regional Distrit due to potential damage and threat to persons and property and without aessing the emergeny powers the response will be hampered in alleviating or at least mitigating the predited impats; IT IS FURTER ORDERED TAT the Peae River Regional Distrit, its employees, servants and agents are empowered pursuant to Setion 13 (1) of the Emergeny Program At to do all ats and implement all proedures that are onsidered neessary to prevent or to alleviate the effets of the emergeny. 4 May 15, hrs (4:00 PM) EVACUATION ORDER Beatton Airport Road Fire Pursuant to the Emergeny Program At an Evauation Order has been issued by the Peae River Regional Distrit due to immediate danger to life safety due to interfae fire and wildfire. Members of the RCMP, Searh & Resue and Wildfire Management Branh will be expediting this ation.
