2 Welcome Haere mai ki te whenua o Aotearoa Welcome to the land of Aotearoa (New Zealand) On behalf of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), it is with great pleasure that I invite your ganisation to participate in the fthcoming XXIst Asian and Oceanic Congress of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AOCOG 2009) being held in conjunction with the RANZCOG 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) in Auckland, New Zealand. In this combined meeting the Organising Committee have prepared an interactive programme featuring wld class speakers and a host of vibrant speakers from the Asia and Oceania region designed to stimulate thinking on Women Well into the Future. Plenary sessions will bridge scientific, general and subspeciality interests and be relevant to a broad range of clinicians from many differing backgrounds. There will be a number of interactive wkshops available f delegates. Auckland, the city of volcanoes, is a beautiful, vibrant, multi-cultural city built on the shes of a wonderful harbour; a great place f such an exciting meeting. This Congress will provide an opptunity to meet with delegates from throughout the Asia and Oceania region, and the accompanying social programme will showcase the beauty of Auckland and the surrounding region in the autumn. In addition, the RANZCOG: Advocates f women s healthcare by fging productive relationships with individuals, the community, professional and government ganisations both locally and internationally. Develops learning material and innovative professional development programs f medical specialists. Develops policy in obstetrics and gynaecology. Suppts research into women s health through the RANZCOG Research Foundation and its scholarship program. Actively engages in communication to members and the public through such channels as the peer-reviewed scientific journal The Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ANZJOG), the College O&G Magazine and the monthly e-newsletter College ConneXion. Through the codination of an annual scientific meeting, the College is able to bring together leading experts in their field and provide a cutting edge, infmative program to all its members. About AOCOG The Asia and Oceania Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (AOFOG) is an autonomous body which seeks affiliation with the International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Membership of the Federation is open to the national societies of obstetrics and gynaecology in each country of Asia, of which 23 national societies are members. AOFOG has become the codinat f many projects in the region and, among other things, also serves as catalyst and codinat f its affiliates in member countries in identifying appropriate specialists wldwide in providing the necessary structure and financial suppt f them to participate at special national courses to meet the needs of its affiliates at their refresher/modernization courses in Fertility Management and Maternal and Child Health Care. The objectives of AOFOG are to: Promote the science and art of obstetrics, gynaecology and reproductive biology. Promote total health care in females throughout life. Promote intrauterine and neonatal well-being. Suppt the study and implementation of population control. Promote international cooperation and goodwill particularly in Asia and Oceania. 4 Maj Sponsship Packages Please note all figures are in New Zealand dollars and exclusive of GST. New Zealand GST of 12.5% will be added to the final figure. Kauri Spons 50,000 The premier sponsship package is named in honour of the majestic Kauri tree. When fully grown, the Kauri tree has a massive columnar trunk topped by branches that spread like umbrella spokes, suppting a crown of leaves. The Kauri is the largest species of tree in New Zealand, standing up to 50 metres tall. As with the tree itself, the Kauri sponsship suggests a strong, reliable reputation and will boast established presence, balance and stability. The spons will reap maximum acknowledgement as one of the primary sponss of the AOCOG 2009 / RANZCOG 2009 ASM. Tota Spons 30,000 One of the majestic fest canopy trees reaching up to 30 metres, the Tota is found in both the Nth and South Islands of New Zealand. Logs from this tree have been known to build Mai waka taua (Mai war canoe), often capable of holding up to 100 warris. In traditional medicine, the smoke from this wood has been used to treat a skin complaint and the boiled bark used to treat a fever. Similarly, the Tota spons will not go unnoticed, attracting prominent recognition. 9 Exhibition Opptunities Located within the Sky City Convention Centre, Auckland, and in close proximity to the AOCOG 2009 / RANZCOG 2009 ASM session rooms, the industry exhibition will play an integral role in this meeting. To acknowledge the imptance of the exhibition, the meeting program has been structured to provide maximum exposure to exhibits. Mning, afternoon tea and lunch will be served in the exhibition area. Exhibits are encouraged to participate in all meeting activities. Following on from its success at previous meetings, a Trade Passpt will also be used at the meeting. This will be issued to all delegates upon registration to encourage delegates to visit exhibits. The Trade Passpt will be the delegate entry ticket into a draw to win a prize. To qualify, delegates will need to have their Trade Passpt stamped by each exhibition booth. Stamps will be provided to all exhibits. Exhibit entitlements and booth hire options Trade exhibit 6,500 (earlybird on befe 30 September 2008) 7,500 (standard after 1 October 2008) Please note booth numbers 1, 43, 44, 45 and 46 as shown in preliminary flo plan are smaller in size - x. These booths are offered at an early bird rate of 5,000 (on befe 30 September 2008) standard rate of 6,000 (after 1 October 2008). The meeting will provide exhibits the opptunity to market products and services directly to key decision makers within their target markets. Confirmed exhibits are entitled to the following benefits and features: x 3m booth space. Black, velcro compatible back and side walls, company fascia signage, two 150w spotlights and one 240 volt/1000 watt/4 amp general purpose outlet.* Booth location listed in the official Program Handbook together with an 80 wd description of the company s products/ services. The trade exhibition area will close at 1700 hours f cleaning and exhibits will be required to vacate the area. Dismantling exhibits Dismantling exhibits will take place on Monday 30 March 2009* only. Dismantling must not commence befe 1630 hours. * Exhibition bump-in, bump-out and exhibition hours may alter slightly and will be confirmed in the exhibit s manual, which will be available approximately six weeks pri to the meeting. Confirmation of participation In der to confirm your active suppt of the AOCOG 2009/ RANZCOG 2009 ASM, please complete the application fm and fax to post to the Congress and ASM Managers at the address listed on the application fm. When the fm is received, you will be sent a confirmation letter and tax invoice f payment. Full pre-payment of all money is required. Please make cheques in New Zealand dollars, payable to 'AOCOG 2009' and post to the meeting secretariat. Payment by Visa, American Express and MasterCard will also be accepted. Please note that payment by Amercian Express will incur a credit card surcharge of 3%. 9

A detailed trade exhibit s manual, which includes the final flo plan and allocations, will be fwarded to exhibits approximately six weeks pri to the event. If not able to be resold, the company will be liable to pay the following fees: 50% of the total sponsship/exhibition rate, if the cancellation request is received in writing befe 30 September % of the total sponsship/exhibition rate, if the cancellation request is received in writing after 1 October Any refunds of deposits paid will be made after the meeting but not later than 30 June The company will not be entitled to any interest that the ganiser may have derived from deposits made by the company. All bank charges, including senders and receiver s charges, resulting from a refund related to cancellation of a sponsship/ exhibition items will be passed on to the spons/exhibit.
