The RBSM generated business enquiries worth Rs 400 crore last year.

3 t is heartening to note that PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry is Iorganizing 12th edition of Punjab International Trade Expo (PITEX) in the holy city of Amritsar from 7th to 11th December, I am apprised that PITEX has been rendering a great service in boosting export potential and providing the much needed impetus to the economic activity in the region since its inception in It has helped in promoting Punjab and especially Amritsar as a tourist and business destination. Punjab Government is fully commi ed to ensure industrial revival in the state as such Trade Expos act as a catalyst to promote trade and economic growth to spread awareness about international market and integrating people and countries alike into a global knowledge hub. I am sure that as in past, PITEX-2017 will also a ract large companies from diverse trades and offer a unique opportunity for the local as well as global traders to transact business and boost its image. I hope this Expo would prove to be a milestone in offering an opportunity to help the prospective entrepreneurs to learn innovative business concepts for their startups but also create an atmosphere to sell their ideas to potential investors. 4 EXPAND THE SCOPE OF YOUR BUSINESS am glad to announce that the 12th edition of Punjab International Trade Expo - IPITEX 17 - a mega international trade expo will be organized by PHD Chamber from 7th to 11th December, 2017 at Amritsar. The Punjab Government will be the Host State for the Event. This exhibition is a part of PHD Chamber's continuous efforts for accelerating the growth of trade and industry and boosting exports from the region. PITEX 2017, as always, shall offer unlimited opportunities to the participating trade and industry-both local and international. It will be a platform for exhibiting their products and expanding their scope of business, forge new business relations and develop customer contacts. 12 RULES & REGULATIONS EXHIBITOR: Any company/organization/state/country Space Specifications & Basic Conditions for Participation: The exhibition area shall be available in following three types: A. Shell Scheme-duly furnished indoor built up booth(s) Multiples of 9 sqm can be reserved. B. Indoor raw space (minimum 27sqm) C. Outdoor raw space (minimum 36sqm) In the furnished indoor built up booth, the organizers shall provide modular structure, fascia with company name, 1 table and 2 chairs, one electric plug point-5/15amps, synthetic carpet, 4 spotlights, waste paper basket and general security during the period of PITEX EXTRA FURNITURE: Extra furniture will be available with the contractor on chargeable basis. REGISTRATION FOR PARTICIPATION: It is mandatory for exhibitor to forward the registration form to PHD Chamber, Chandigarh, along with advance payment i.e. 30% space rentals and electricity deposit (5% of space rentaladjustable) for participation. ALLOTMENT OF EXHIBITION SPACE: All bookings will be made on first-come-first-served basis subject to the receipt of all advanced payments. Organizers will make confirmation of allotment of space on receipt of the registration form duly signed along with appropriate advance payment. Organisers reserve the right to allocate space, change the layout plan, add or delete corridors as shown in the space plan. Organisers reserve the right to reduce the allotment of space to any applicant without assigning any reason. PAYMENT SCHEDULE: All payments should be made by Demand Draft payable to PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry payable at Chandigarh/ New Delhi. Advance payment including 30% space rentals and electricity deposit (5% of space rental adjustable) at the time of booking. Full payment by 20 November 2017 or before. Please note that the balance of electricity deposit will be refunded after deducting the charges. SETTLEMENT OF CHARGES: Any and all expenses chargeable to an exhibitor must be settled before the close of fair to ensure smooth removal of goods from the fair site. STAND COMPLETION: By 2000 hrs with all exhibits in position on 6th December 2017 positively. Work will not be allowed after that due to security reasons. REMOVAL OF EXHIBITS: Removal of any exhibit during the fair period is prohibited. Negotiations for sale, however, may be conducted. Removal of exhibits and other materials shall be allowed only after 2100 hrs on the last day of the PITEX after the closure of the exhibition. MOVEMENT OF VEHICLES: Vehicles containing exhibition material will be allowed up to a certain point at the venue. All vehicles must provide list of items being carried in the exhibition area and receive the pass for the same, which will be required at the end of the exhibition for the removal of exhibits and other material. CANCELLATION: The prospective exhibitor is liable to forfeit the entire space rental in case of cancellation. BINDING TERMS OF CONTRACT: The submission of the registration form duly signed by an authorized officer of the exhibitor shall be deemed as confirmation of participation and acceptance, and becomes binding as soon as the organisers have confirmed the allotment of space to the applicant. Dispute, if any, will be subject to Chandigarh Jurisdiction. VIOLATION OF RULES: The organizers reserve the right to decide on the fulfillment of the rules and have the authority to demand removal/change of any structure, which is found not in conformity with the rules and can also cancel a confirmed booking without assigning any reason. The decision of the organizers will be final and binding. DAMAGE: Exhibitor will be required to make good all damages to the fair facilities caused during the installation/ dismantling of their exhibits. All goods to be displayed by exhibitors have to be insured against natural calamities and theft. The organizer will not be responsible for the loss from the reasons mentioned above. SECURITY: The security for the goods after the closing time till 0900 hrs the following morning during the exhibition period on all days will be provided by the organizer. STALL POSSESSION: Stall will be allocated after acquiring clearance and stall possession certificate from on site accounts office of the organisers. INSURANCE OF EXHIBITS: Exhibitors are responsible for insuring their exhibits for the fair period.
